Senior Product Designer

Akkio is the AI infrastructure platform that powers and automates workflows across the media ecosystem. Embedded directly in customers' cloud environments, Akkio transforms data into intelligent workflows - helping teams move faster, make better decisions, and deliver results in minutes instead of days.
We're a fast-growing team building the future of AI-enabled operations, and we're looking for talented people to join us to shape the future of media work.
As a Senior Product Designer at Akkio, you will play an essential role in designing the features our agency partners use to plan, run, and measure campaigns every day. You'll be a strong product thinker and visual designer who can connect user problems to business outcomes, working hand in hand with our product, engineering, and go-to-market teams on some of our most important features.
This is not a role for someone who wants to decorate a finished product. You'll sit between our teams making decisions about how humans and agents collaborate inside workflows that don't have established patterns yet. One week you're designing the way a strategist briefs an agent; the next you're figuring out how an analyst audits what that agent did. The problems are unfamiliar on purpose, and that's the interesting part.
The design team is small enough that your work will define how our partners experience Akkio for years to come.
You ship to learn. You'd rather get something rough in front of a partner this week than spend a month polishing the wrong thing. You prototype in code when speed matters, and you know the difference between "this needs to be perfect" and "this just needs to teach us something."
You question the foundations. Most UI primitives (dropdowns, forms, dashboards) were designed for a world where humans did all the clicking. You're excited to rethink them and invent patterns that feel native to how strategists actually collaborate with agents.
You integrate AI directly into your design process. Claude Code, Cursor, and similar tools are already part of your daily practice. You treat AI as leverage that expands your range as a designer.
You track the technology. LLMs, agents, and foundation models are moving fast. You follow the releases, understand what's newly possible, and design for the product Akkio will be in six months, not just the one it is today.
You don't trade craft for speed. The pixels, the copy, the empty states, the error handling: you care about all of it. You've figured out how to keep that care alive inside a team that ships every week.
Own the full design process. From challenging the brief, through user research with agency partners, to production-ready specs. You're comfortable holding the whole problem in your head, not just the screen in front of you.
Design for agentic workflows. Akkio is building the infrastructure for agents that autonomously execute campaign work end to end. You'll design the moments where humans and agents hand off, negotiate, and verify. Very few designers have done this before. We'll figure it out together.
Partner closely with engineering. We ship fast. You'll be building alongside engineers when decisions get made, verifying the user experience in real time. Not handing off and hoping for the best.
Raise the craft bar. Akkio's UI is the surface that turns complex AI into something a media strategist can trust. The pixels, the copy, the empty states, the error handling. All of it matters, and you'll own that standard.
Tell the story. You'll present work to leadership, our agency partners, and the broader team. High-stakes reviews should be purposeful and exciting.
5+ years of product design experience, with real ownership on complex B2B or enterprise software
A strong bias to execution coupled with high craft standards and attention to detail
AI-reflexivity: you already use agentic building tools in your daily practice. You see AI as a creative partner
You have opinions about how AI changes product design itself, and you're vocal about them
A portfolio that shows your process, not just polished final frames. We want to see how you scope problems, where you chose speed over polish, and what you'd do differently
Comfort with ambiguity. Many of the problems we're solving don't have reference patterns yet
