QA Automation Engineer

Candidates selected for this role will work directly with Apkudo; however, their employment will be facilitated through our Employer of Record (EOR). As an EOR employee, the designated EOR partner will manage all payroll, benefits, and compliance matters while Apkudo sets day-to-day work responsibilities and performance expectations.

About Job

As a Quality Automation Engineer at Apkudo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring internal and customer deliverables meet exceptional quality standards through automation tools and testing frameworks. You will work closely with QA, Support, and Engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain automated tests, architect, design, and develop automated solutions to expand test coverage for web applications, proprietary projects, and internal tools, and continuously evaluate and improve the existing automation framework.

Skills & Qualification

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in QA Automation Engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with Playwright, TestNG, XPath, JSON, React, Node.js, JavaScript, Cypress, Python, Selenium, SQL (Postgres preferred).

  • Experience with HTML, Java, Git, and Selenium.

  • Experience with mobile (iOS and Android) device testing or development.

  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with QA, Support, and Engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain automated tests.

  • Architect, design, and develop automated solutions to expand test coverage for web applications, proprietary projects, and internal tools.

  • Continuously evaluate and improve the existing automation framework.

  • Develop and manage test cases and test execution, identifying and documenting defects.

  • Perform manual testing as needed and troubleshoot UI, application, or backend issues.

  • Design automation deliverables that are straightforward and flexible to use.

  • Develop and peer-review automation code and proprietary project code.

  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively.
