About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Content Writer (Telugu) who has strong Telugu writing skills, a good command of English, and a deep interest in South Indian mythology, traditions, and devotional culture.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating meaningful regional content that reaches users across cities, tier-2/3/4 towns, and global Telugu-speaking audiences. You will work closely with the South Content Team on culturally significant products including Shri Panchangam and devotional applications across Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil audiences.
Key Responsibilities
Write engaging and accurate website/app content in Telugu and English under the guidance of the Lead Telugu Writer.
Research and create content around: Panchangam, Rituals & Pujas, Tithis & Festivals, Temples & Mythology, Devotional practices and regional traditions
Translate complex religious and cultural information into bite-sized app content, long form and short form content, user-friendly devotional content
Conduct quality checks (QC) before content goes live to ensure language accuracy, cultural authenticity, and formatting consistency.
Manage the publishing workflow from Level-2 writing to website/app publishing.
Collaborate with the South Vertical Team to maintain consistency across Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil devotional content.
Requirements
0–2 years of experience in content writing, translation, editorial, or regional language content.
Strong proficiency in Telugu reading, writing, and grammar (mandatory).
Good command of English for translation, research, and content structuring.
Strong understanding of Telugu culture, traditions, festivals, and devotional practices.
Ability to research mythological and cultural topics with accuracy and sensitivity.
Detail-oriented with strong proofreading and organisational skills.
Basic understanding of digital content workflows is a plus.
Knowledge of Kannada or Tamil (reading/writing/understanding) is an added advantage.
