As a Category Intern at AppsForBharat, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping our devotional offerings across various product categories within the Sri Mandir app – the world’s largest Hindu devotional app. You’ll work closely with the Category and Operations teams to drive execution, streamline processes, and enhance user experience across rituals, pujas, content, and marketplace features. This is a hands-on opportunity for a driven individual looking to build a career in operations, category management, or product execution in a high-growth startup.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and scaling key devotional product categories by coordinating with internal teams (content, product, marketing, operations).

• Ensure timely execution of campaigns, rituals, and content updates across the app.

• Maintain accurate trackers, dashboards, and reports to monitor category performance and user engagement.

• Identify operational inefficiencies and propose process improvements to enhance delivery and user satisfaction.

• Support vendor and partner coordination to ensure quality and timely execution of offerings.

• Conduct competitor research and market benchmarking to help the category team stay ahead.

• Assist in preparing presentations, documentation, and insights for leadership review.

• Stay updated on trends in spiritual content, user behavior, and market dynamics relevant to the category.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree (or in final year) in Business, Commerce, Operations, or related fields.

• 0–2 years of experience in operations, category management, or startup internships.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and productivity tools.

• Self-starter mindset with high ownership and a bias for action.

• Interest in spirituality, Indian culture, and Sanatan Dharma is a plus.
