Job Type: Full-Time

About Asher Med

Asher Med is building the platform that empowers frontline wellness businesses to deliver personalized, human care at scale. We partner with wellness businesses to help them offer high-quality medical weight loss and health optimization services through technology, education, clinical infrastructure, and operational support. Our mission is to bridge the gap between medical and wellness through responsible growth, operational excellence, and a better patient and partner experience.

About the Role

We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Business Analyst / Agile Project Manager to join our Engineering team supporting a web-based wellness and healthcare application. Your primary role will be as a Business Analyst, with additional responsibilities as an Agile Project Manager. You will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, gathering and documenting requirements while simultaneously driving agile delivery — covering both front-end and back-end requirements.

You will be hands-on in Jira, keeping projects organized, workflows optimized, and teams unblocked. You will play a key role in defining our Agile working model and may need to configure Jira to produce reports and ensure work flows seamlessly through its different stages.

What You'll Do

Business Analysis Own requirements discovery for both back-end and UI features, conducting stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs. Translate findings into clear documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframe annotations, data flow descriptions, and API/integration specifications. Serve as the point of contact for clarifying scope throughout the development lifecycle.

Agile Project Management Own and facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog in Jira, track velocity, identify impediments early, and communicate status and risks to stakeholders clearly and proactively.

Jira Administration Configure and maintain Jira projects, including project types (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid), workflows, issue types and fields, and automation rules. Be the team's Jira resource — keeping the instance clean, reporting meaningful, and the board reflective of reality.

QA Collaboration Work closely with QA engineers to ensure acceptance criteria are testable and test cases map back to documented requirements. Participate in test planning, support UAT coordination, and help triage defects. Factor QA timelines into sprint and release planning.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in a BA, Agile PM, or combined BA/PM role on software development teams

  • Demonstrated experience documenting both back-end (data, APIs, integrations) and front-end/UI requirements

  • Hands-on Jira experience — configuring project types, workflows, and automation rules, not just using it as a team member

  • Strong working knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban and experience facilitating agile ceremonies

  • Solid understanding of the software QA process, including manual and automated testing concepts

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and vice versa

  • Experience working on web-based applications with cross-functional teams (developers, designers, QA)

Nice to Have

  • Certifications: CSPO, PMI-ACP, CSM, or IIBA CBAP/CCBA

  • Experience with Confluence, Figma, Miro, or similar tools

  • Vietnamese language proficiency (we have a development team based in Vietnam)

  • Healthcare IT experience or familiarity with HIPAA, HL7, or FHIR

Who You Are

You communicate with clarity and confidence and genuinely enjoy helping teams do their best work. You are as comfortable sketching out a data flow diagram as you are facilitating a retrospective or untangling a Jira workflow. You ask good questions, document what matters, follow through, and have a great sense of humor.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary and bonus structure

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Equity program

  • Hybrid schedule (4 days on-site in Plano/Richardson)

  • Clear paths for career growth as the company scales

  • The chance to be part of something that genuinely changes lives
