Aspen Standard Wealth is scaling rapidly through acquisition. We are hiring an Operating Executive to take full ownership of one of our partner firms — a founder-led wealth management business — and lead it through its next phase of growth.
This is not a functional leadership position. The Operating Executive will take on progressive operational accountability for the business — owning day-to-day P&L management, people, growth, and execution — while partnering closely with both the founder and Aspen to deploy a proven value creation and organic growth playbook. The mandate is clear: 2x the business organically within three to five years, professionalize operations, and build a leadership structure that gives the founder the freedom to engage on their own terms.
This role is based in the [XXXX] area.
Below are the core areas of work for this role. Over time, responsibilities may evolve, but this should provide a clear view of what to expect.
Full Business Ownership
Take on progressive operational accountability for the performance of the business — revenue growth, profitability, operating discipline, and talent — in close partnership with the founder.
Earn the trust of the founder and team through decisive leadership and early execution, establishing credibility that enables a smooth and confident transition of day-to-day responsibilities.
Honor the legacy, culture, and client relationships the founder has built — leading in a way that reflects continuity and respect, not replacement.
Growth Execution
Deliver 2x organic growth within three to five years using a combination of share of wallet, pricing, marketing, referrals/COIs, technology, and new client acquisition.
Personally own conversion outcomes in year one — willing and able to close or co-close live deals early.
Build, manage, and continuously improve a repeatable growth engine with clear accountability.
Coach advisors to improve selling behaviors and pipeline performance.
Strategic & Operating Rigor
Develop and own a one-page strategic plan and operating budget aligned with Aspen's underwriting assumptions and value creation model.
Establish a weekly operating rhythm and pipeline reviews that focus the team's effort on One Page Plan goals, playbooks, and metrics.
Translate strategy into execution through clear priorities, KPIs, and disciplined operating cadence.
Systems Building & Scalability
Build scalable systems and processes that remove the need for individual heroics and distribute knowledge across the firm.
Make high-quality, data-backed decisions connected to budget lines and growth targets.
Ensure the business is on track to 2x revenue, AUM, and EBITDA organically within five years.
2+ years of experience in roles demonstrating knowledge of wealth management — asset management, private banking, wealth management, insurance, or adjacent regulated services.
8–18 years in elite and competitive environments with a track record of hard jobs and advancement.
2+ years leading teams, including hiring, performance management, and talent development, but still a doer.
Personal ownership of a revenue number — deal, sales, cross-sell, or equivalent.
Experience leading trust-based sales motions: client success, sourcing, pitching, advising, business development, or sales.
Demonstrated track record of improving pipeline conversion rates and funnel performance.
Personally led projects that improved a growth engine — rebuilding a sales team, increasing conversion, introducing a new product, building a new cross-sell motion, etc.
Ownership of a P&L or material portion thereof, with direct accountability for revenue, costs, and outcomes.
Experience operating in lean, low-infrastructure environments without centralized corporate support.
Revenue Intincts: Directly increases revenue through hands-on leadership, clear accountability, and disciplined follow-through. Channels a strong drive to win into measurable firm growth — without creating damage in a team environment.
Diplomacy: Influences leadership into alignment even without formal authority. Accurately reads people and dynamics in a small, relationship-heavy firm — adjusting behavior to maintain trust while driving performance.
Builder: Builds leverage through systems and leaders — not heroics. Improves growth outcomes by testing assumptions quickly, learning from real-world feedback, and adjusting course without ego attachment.
Leadership Steward: Intention ally grows people's skills and judgment through feedback, opportunities, and support. Operates with stability under pressure — drives clarity and commitment even when the direction is unpopular.
High Slope: Demonstrates the cognitive elasticity, learning velocity, and systems-level thinking to grow beyond current scope and complexity. Makes analytically driven decisions connected to budget and targets.
