About the Job

Aspen Standard Wealth is growing rapidly through acquisition, and we're hiring an M&A Investing Associate to support our high-velocity deal execution engine. This role is based in New York City (in-office).

If you have experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and strong financial modeling, diligence, and strategic evaluation skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

Below are the core areas of work for this role:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial, operational, and strategic due diligence on prospective acquisitions.

  • Build detailed financial models to evaluate returns, assess upside/downside scenarios, and identify value creation levers.

  • Develop investment memos and presentation materials for Aspen and Alpine stakeholders.

  • Support and eventually lead specific diligence workstreams across multiple simultaneous live deals.

  • Participate in management presentations, analyst calls, and diligence meetings.

  • Collaborate closely with the Alpine Investing Team, Aspen Hold Co leadership, and OpCo partners.

  • Manage deal timelines, workflows, and priorities with rigor and organization.

Experiences and Functional Skills Required

  • 2–4 years of professional financial services experience, ideally in investment banking.

  • Strong technical and analytical capabilities, including financial modeling, commercial judgment, and scenario analysis.

  • Solid understanding of accounting and corporate finance fundamentals.

  • Strong executive presence and ability to engage with strong personalities.

Behaviors and Mindsets Required

  • Grit and resilience: You thrive in high-pressure, fast-moving deal cycles. You maintain effectiveness and perspective under stress, setbacks, or sustained pressure.

  • Ownership and accountability: You take full responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks - doing what it takes to get to the result, and owning the consequences.

  • Intellectual curiosity: You have the belief that abilities, judgment, and performance can be continually expanded through effort, feedback, and deliberate learning—and that challenge, discomfort, and failure are necessary ingredients of long-term growth.

  • High EQ: You read people and emotional dynamics accurately and interact in a way that reduces friction and keeps relationships productive. You can build confidence, reliability, integrity, and show good intent through consistent words, actions, and follow-through.
