About the Job

Aspen Standard Wealth is scaling rapidly through acquisition, and we’re hiring a Regional Controller. The Regional Controller will play a critical role in scaling the company’s financial infrastructure as we continue to acquire and integrate partner companies. This leader will enjoy a broad range of responsibilities, get to know the business and operations, and implement various technology solutions. This individual will manage the accounting and finance functions of his/her assigned region and report to Aspen’s Controller

This role is based in New York City. Travel is expected on an as-needed basis to acquired partner companies. Minimum 4 days in office schedule.

Responsibilities

Below are the core areas of work for this role. Over time, responsibilities may evolve, but this should provide a clear view of what to expect.

  • Responsible for day-to-day GL processes, monthly close, reconciliations, variance analysis, financial statements, budgets and cash forecasts

  • Apply US GAAP expertise in complex accounting areas, including revenue recognition, purchase accounting, leases and other relevant financial reporting and disclosure requirements

  • Serve as a key finance lead during post-acquisition integration with partner companies, onboarding onto Netsuite, RAMP and other technology solutions

  • Work closely with operating company accounting team to transition from cash-basis to accrual accounting as well as to provide hands-on support, training and change management to ensure smooth adoption of new processes

  • Act as primary point of contact for external auditors

Experiences and Functional Skills Required

  • 8+ years professional experience working within Accounting, with at least 3+ years working on an in-house Accounting team

  • Experience working in a startup environment with limited corporate infrastructure

  • Must have in-depth experience working with NetSuite

  • CPA certification required, experience in public accounting preferred
