About the Job

Aspen Standard Wealth is scaling rapidly, and we are hiring an AI & Business Process Lead to apply AIand automation across the firm in practical, high-impact ways. This role focuses on identifying and implementing AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, streamline operations and create differentiated capabilities for financial advisors and internal teams.

The AI & Business Process Lead will not be responsible for engineering complex AI models or writing production-level code. Instead, this role is for an automation and process expert who understands how the business operates and can apply existing AI and automation tools to simply workflows, reduce manual effort, and unlock new ways of working. This is an individual contributor role with broad cross-functional impact and high visibility.

This role is based in Chicago, with minimal travel.

Responsibilities

Below are the core areas of work for this role. Over time, responsibilities may evolve, but this should provide a clear view of what to expect.

  • Apply existing AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, reduce process steps, and improve operational efficiencyMap and analyze business processes across the organization to identify high-impact opportunities for AI and automation

  • Develop a clear plan and “heat map” of where AI can drive the greatest cost, productivity, experience, and revenue impact

  • Partner closely with leaders and teams across functions to understand operational needs and translate them into practical AI-enabled solutions

  • Measure, track, and report on the results and impact of AI and automation initiatives

Experiences and Functional Skills Required

  • 3+ years of professional experience leading or championing automation or process optimization initiatives with a business

  • Experience implementing AI automation within a business

  • Experience mapping business processes, gathering requirements, or driving process improvement (e.g., product management, operations, consulting, or process optimization roles)

  • Demonstrated ability to measure and report on the outcomes of implemented solutions
