About the Job

As a QA Engineer at Acme Corporation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high quality of our software products by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API test automation, specifically with REST APIs and tools like Postman and JMeter. Additionally, they will have extensive experience in QA/Test Engineering roles, well exceeding the minimum requirement, and have held relevant senior titles.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive test plans to ensure the high quality of our software products.

• Develop and execute test scripts using Pytest and Python to automate API testing.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to understand product requirements and identify test scenarios.

• Develop and maintain knowledge of industry-leading testing tools and technologies, including Postman and JMeter.

• Identify and report defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Develop and maintain test data, including test cases, test scripts, and test environments.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software testing.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on testing principles and best practices.

• Develop and maintain documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test results.

• Collaborate with the team to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Skills

• Strong background in API test automation, specifically with REST APIs.

• Experience with Pytest and Python for automated testing.

• Knowledge of testing tools and technologies, including Postman and JMeter.

• Strong understanding of software development life cycles and testing methodologies.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex testing issues.

• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and testing methodologies.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for API testing.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• 4+ years of experience in QA/Test Engineering roles, with relevant senior titles.
