We want you to validate and launch a software company focused on building the evidence intelligence layer for European logistics. 

The Opportunity

Parcel fraud is escalating, causing over $48B in annual logistics losses, including a 64% surge in return/delivery fraud in 2025. Postal operators lose margin to disputed deliveries and fraud, while retailers and insurers absorb untraceable costs.

Currently, there is no shared evidence layer; operators hold data retailers can't see, claims are processed blindly, and payouts lack forensic audits. Disputes rely on PDFs and emails.

We aim to create a real-time fraud scoring, claims adjudication, and audit-grade evidence platform. It will connect operators, retailers, and insurers to a single, structured source of truth, offering real-time event scanning, evidence pack generation, and insurance-grade compliance, built for European B2B logistics.

What we look for

• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build credibility with operations leaders, claims teams, insurers, and compliance functions

• A strategic mindset and comfort navigating technical, operational, and regulatory complexity

• An academic background (MBA or MSc preferred) and strong analytical skills

• 3-5+ years in parcel logistics, fraud, claims, trust and safety, or risk-focused B2B SaaS

• Exposure to claims operations, fraud scoring, dispute resolution, or insurance workflows

• A founder-like mindset: independent, driven, and resourceful

• Fluency in English, and in the best case, German

• The ability to translate messy operational reality into a clear and fundable venture

What you'll work on

• Assess the commercial viability of fraud scoring, claims adjudication, and shared evidence infrastructure across logistics and insurance partners.

• Interview claims and ops leaders at 3PLs, postal operators, retailers, and parcel insurers

• Map data architecture to identify fraud-predicting signals and current controllers.

• Define the initial product (real-time fraud signal API, claims dashboard, or evidence pack) and the platform growth strategy.

• Develop a detailed concept and MVP proposal

• Secure LOIs from operators, retailers, or insurance partners.

• Pitch to Beam for funding and launch.

• If the startup reaches go-to-market, Beam's funding committee secures minimum 18 months runway after every round
