National Account Manager, Costco.
Position Description
We are seeking a driven and commercially minded National Account Manager, Costco to support the growth and execution of Blueair's Costco business. This role will manage day-to-day account operations while serving as a key liaison between Costco and internal teams to drive sales performance, promotional execution, forecasting accuracy, and assortment planning. The ideal candidate brings experience managing key retail accounts, strong analytical capabilities, and a passion for building collaborative customer relationships. Working closely with sales leadership, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams, the Account Manager will help develop and execute growth strategies, deliver strong business results, and ensure exceptional customer service.
We're hiring for this role out of three locations: Seattle/Bellevue, Chicago, or New York City.
Seattle/Bellevue-based: hybrid schedule, in-office Tuesday–Thursday at our Bellevue coworking space, closest to Costco's buying teams.
Chicago or New York-based: home-based with monthly travel to Seattle for in-person buyer meetings, line reviews, and business planning sessions.
Relocating to Seattle? Relocation assistance is available for candidates who want to relocate to the Seattle area.
Blueair's US team also gathers periodically at our Chicago hub for company-wide events (town halls, holiday celebrations); some travel there should be expected regardless of home base. We work across time zones as a global team, so some flexibility in working hours is part of the role.
Responsibilities and Functions
Account Management & Customer Relationships
Own the day-to-day relationship with Costco's buying and merchandising teams, and be Blueair's face to one of the most influential retailers in the country.
Build and drive the account's annual plan and joint business planning strategy, shaping how Blueair shows up with Costco going forward.
Grow the relationship by spotting and pitching new distribution, assortment, and sales opportunities.
Lead customer presentations, business reviews, and performance updates that shape how leadership sees the account.
Represent Blueair directly in buyer meetings, line reviews, and strategic planning sessions alongside sales leadership.
Commercial Execution
Own promotional planning and execution end to end, keeping internal teams and Costco's expectations in sync.
Keep a close eye on sales, inventory, forecasts, and replenishment, and use what you see to move the business forward.
Dig into sell-through data, member insights, and category trends to find the next opportunity, or catch a risk early.
Bring new products, seasonal programs, and assortment changes to life with Costco.
Treat the account's KPIs, revenue, margin, promo performance, inventory health, as your own scoreboard.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Team up with marketing to build programs and merchandising ideas built specifically for this customer.
Work hand in hand with supply chain and operations to keep forecasting, inventory, and service levels on point.
Partner with finance on pricing and promotional investment so the account grows in a way that actually pays off.
Plug into product and innovation teams to keep assortment planning and launches on track.
Reporting & Analysis
Keep sales forecasts, budgets, and account reporting sharp and trustworthy.
Bring management regular, honest performance updates, plus your own read on what to do next.
Let data drive the conversation with the customer and the decisions behind it.
Spot and fix the process gaps that are quietly slowing the account down.
Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
4–7 years of experience in retail sales, account management, or customer development.
Experience managing national retail accounts, specifically Costco.
Strong analytical skills with experience using sales, inventory, and customer performance data to drive decisions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
Able to travel to Seattle regularly (monthly, if not Seattle-based) and to Chicago periodically.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, consumer health, or related durable goods categories.
Familiarity with joint business planning, assortment planning, and promotional management.
Experience working within a global organization.
Pay: The base salary pay range for this position is $125,000-$150,000 per year. Blueair takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus & Commission: This position is bonus eligible and has a commission tied to account performance for this role.
Relocation: Relocation assistance is available for candidates relocating to the Seattle area.
