Bright was founded in 2019 by a founding team from McKinsey’s Banking Practice (Petko Plachkov and Avi Patchava) and InMobi Data Scientists (Varun Modi and Avi Patchava). The core team is ex-InMobi Engineering and Data Sciences, recently joined by senior leaders from McKinsey. Bright is a data-driven, fast-paced execution culture that will build a Global Consumer FinTech, all functions operating from India.
What is the team & role about?
We are looking for a highly motivated Analytics Intern to support our Operations, Finance, Product, and Analytics teams by automating manual processes and building data workflows. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys problem-solving, has strong Python/SQL fundamentals, and is eager to learn no-code/low-code automation tools.This role will give you hands-on exposure to automation, analytics, and real-world business problem-solving.
Build automation scripts using Python to eliminate repetitive manual tasks.
Create data pipelines and workflow automations using no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Zapier, n8n, Make, Airtable Automations, AppScripts).
Integrate APIs and connectors to streamline data flow across systems.
Document automated processes and ensure easy handover to teams.
Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analytics use cases.
Assist in maintaining data accuracy and quality across internal dashboards.
Pull and clean datasets for business teams.
Support creation of recurring reports and dashboards.
Highlight process gaps and propose automation solutions.
Work closely with the analytics team to validate data and results.
Partner with operations, customer success, product, and engineering teams to understand processes that can be automated.
Participate in requirement discussions and help translate business needs into workflow solutions.
Ideal candidate profile looks like? Experience & Background:
Pursuing or recently completed Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.
Strong foundational knowledge of Python (data manipulation, automation scripts).
Good understanding of SQL – ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
Eagerness to learn automation platforms (n8n etc.).
Basic understanding of APIs, JSON, and webhooks is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A profitable sub-unicorn with U.S. market scale – liquidity potential at $1–3B valuations.
