What is the team & role about?
Bright Money is looking for a Lead – Finance to anchor the finance function across our India and US entities. The role owns the monthly close, financial reporting, statutory and tax compliance, audit, FP&A, and treasury operations — and leads a team of accounts executives and assistant managers. You will partner closely with the leadership team to translate financial data into decisions that move the business forward.
What you will do?
Financial Close & Reporting: Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for India and US entities. Ensure accurate, timely financial statements in line with Ind AS and US GAAP.
Statutory & Tax Compliance: Lead all India and US filings — GST, TDS, PT, PF, ESI, Income Tax, sales tax, and annual returns. Track regulatory changes and ensure the company stays ahead of them.
Audit Management: Own statutory, tax, internal, and investor due diligence audits end-to-end — plan, coordinate, prepare schedules, resolve queries, and close findings.
FP&A: Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and rolling plans. Drive monthly variance analysis, unit economics, and management MIS. Partner with business leaders on cost and revenue decisions.
Treasury & Cash Management: Manage cash flow planning, banking relationships, inter-company funding, and working capital. Optimise idle balances and oversee fund movements between entities.
Controls & Process: Design and enforce internal controls across AP, AR, payroll, expense management, and inter-company transactions. Drive process improvements and automation across the close cycle.
Revenue & Collections: Oversee revenue recognition, reconciliations of credit operations, and collections reporting. Identify leakage and drive corrective action.
Business Partnership: Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to leadership while recommending further courses of action. Analyse costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and actual performance vs business plans.
Team Leadership: Build and lead the finance team — set goals, review work, coach team members, and create a framework for execution. Hire, onboard, and develop accounts executives and assistant managers.
