About Bright Money

Bright Money is a Consumer FinTech for middle-income consumers. It brings together SaaS products to help consumers build credit, manage their debt, and get access to suitable loans and credit cards. These are the major financial needs of middle-income consumers living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Bright is a profitable, India-built, U.S.-market Consumer FinTech, with revenue trajectory to $100M in the coming 12 months. The business model combines subscription revenue with financial service marketplace revenues for loans, credit cards, and credit-building tools.

Bright has launched an AI money assistant and AI agentic UX flows for access to credit. It will be the first AI-driven Consumer FinTech for middle-income consumers.

The Bright product suite has potential for global markets beyond the US. The market size is 100M global middle-income consumers, with a revenue pool opportunity of $15B.

Bright is backed by 3 top global venture capital firms, and leading tech angel investors in the USA, Europe, and Asia.

Bright was founded in 2019 by a founding team from McKinsey’s Banking Practice (Petko Plachkov and Avi Patchava) and InMobi Data Scientists (Varun Modi and Avi Patchava). The core team is ex-InMobi Engineering and Data Sciences, recently joined by senior leaders from McKinsey.

Bright is a data-driven, fast-paced execution culture that will build a Global Consumer FinTech, all functions operating from India.

About the Role

This is the highest-leverage seat on our Growth team. As Engagement Manager — Growth, you'll be the right hand to the Head of Growth: you'll take ownership of the engagement, lifecycle, and funnel workstreams that drive the business, operate the analytical and decision-making systems the team runs on, and act as a force multiplier on everything we ship.

It's also an apprenticeship in growth leadership. We're hiring someone who wants to run a business — and the explicit arc of this role is to progressively take ownership of a product line's growth and, in time, its P&L. If you're an unusually sharp operator who wants to learn the craft of growth from the inside and then go drive a number of your own, this is built for you.

You'll do the analysis, build the business case, and ship the call — not hand off slides and wait. High agency is the whole point.

What You'll Own

  • Own engagement and lifecycle end to end — activation, retention, re-engagement, and win-back programs across the funnel for a product line, measured on real outcomes (DRR, retention, LTV), not activity.

  • Be the Head of Growth's force multiplier — turn strategy into shipped initiatives, pick up the workstreams that would otherwise bottleneck on one person, and close loops independently.

  • Run the growth operating cadence — sprint planning, daily health/DRR reviews, proposition-share reviews, and weekly priorities. You keep the machine on time and the right decisions getting made.

  • Live in the funnel and cohort data — decompose drop-offs, size opportunities, and build the case (e.g. does a given funnel or segment justify a higher CPA target?). You can build a model and defend it.

  • Connect growth to unit economics — LTV, payback, contribution margin. You prioritize initiatives by P&L impact, not gut feel.

  • Work hands-on with our AI-native tooling — dashboards, programmatic campaign systems, and SOP/decision engines. You're comfortable building lightweight analyses yourself (SQL, spreadsheets, Claude Code / LLM tooling), not just consuming reports.

  • Coordinate across analytics, creative, engineering, and product to get things shipped — owning the outcome across the seams, not just your slice.

  • Grow into GM scope — as you earn it, take ownership of the growth of a product, with a clear path toward running it as a business.

What We're Looking For

  • 4–8 years in growth, strategy, consulting, product, or lifecycle marketing — ideally at a consulting firm (MBB), consumer tech or DTC company.

  • Exceptional analytical horsepower. You're fluent in funnel metrics, cohorts, and LTV/CAC, and you reason from first principles rather than dashboards alone..

  • An operator's bias — you ship, you chase the number, you close the loop. High ownership and high agency are non-negotiable.

  • Excellent communication: you turn analysis into a crisp recommendation and can influence senior stakeholders.

  • Genuine ambition to run a P&L one day.

  • Calm and effective in ambiguity, in a fast, high-context environment.
