The core team is ex-InMobi Engineering and Data Sciences, recently joined by senior leaders from McKinsey. Bright is a data-driven, fast-paced execution culture that will build a Global Consumer FinTech, all functions operating from India.

What is the team & role about?
Bright is looking for a Public Relations and Corporate Communications Manager to build and strengthen our brand presence in India and the USA.

The role will own external communications, media relations, corporate storytelling, and CXO positioning across both markets. This person will also partner closely with the Marketing team to manage Bright’s corporate social media presence and CXO profiles.

What will you do?

  • Develop and execute Bright’s PR and corporate communications strategy across India and the US.

  • Build compelling narratives around Bright’s mission, growth, products, AI-led innovation, culture, and customer impact for both markets.

  • Establish strong relationships with business, fintech, technology, startup, and consumer-focused journalists in India and the US.

  • Secure meaningful earned-media opportunities, including interviews, features, opinion articles, expert commentary, podcasts, and speaking engagements.

  • Position Bright’s founders and CXOs as credible industry voices through media interactions, thought leadership, events, and social media.

  • Partner with Marketing to manage Bright’s corporate social media presence and CXO profiles.

  • Build content calendars and create authentic, platform-relevant content for Bright’s corporate and leadership channels.

  • Write and edit press releases, media pitches, opinion pieces, executive briefs, talking points, FAQs, and other corporate content.

  • Prepare founders and CXOs for media interviews, conferences, podcasts, and other external engagements.

  • Monitor industry developments, competitor narratives, and relevant conversations across India and the US to identify communication opportunities and potential reputational risks.

  • Manage PR agencies and external partners across both markets, ensuring proactive, high-quality, and outcome-focused execution.

  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Finance, Human Potential, Legal, and leadership teams to ensure all external communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with Bright’s brand and business priorities.

Ideal candidate profile looks like:

Experience & Background:

  • 6–10 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or external communications.

  • A combination of prior PR agency experience and current or recent in-house corporate communications experience is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in fintech is preferred; consumer technology, financial services, or other high-growth technology sectors may also be considered.

  • Strong relationships with business, fintech, technology, and startup journalists in India.

  • Proven success in securing credible, high-quality earned-media coverage.

  • Experience managing corporate social media and CXO or founder profiles.

  • Excellent writing, storytelling, and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to simplify complex fintech, business, data, and AI topics into compelling narratives.

  • Experience working directly with founders, CXOs, and senior stakeholders.

  • Strong judgment when handling confidential or reputation-sensitive matters.

  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

  • Exposure to international or USA communications would be an advantage.

This role may not be suitable for candidates who

  • Have experience limited to internal communications, employee engagement, or employer branding.

  • Have primarily worked on paid media, influencer marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing without meaningful PR ownership.

  • Have only coordinated press releases without directly building journalist relationships or securing earned-media coverage.

  • Have agency experience but limited exposure to working in-house and partnering closely with founders or CXOs.

  • Have managed social media execution but not corporate narratives, executive positioning, or media relations.

  • Prefer a coordination-focused role rather than personally writing, pitching, and driving execution.

  • Measure PR success mainly through the volume of mentions rather than the quality, relevance, and impact of coverage.

What success looks like

  • Stronger and more consistent visibility for Bright across relevant media and social platforms.

  • Meaningful relationships with key journalists and industry influencers.

  • Increased visibility and credibility for Bright’s founders and CXOs.

  • Clear and differentiated positioning for Bright within fintech and consumer technology.
