Reporting to the GM of MSK and Bariatrics, the Dir, Benefits Design Strategy & Operations will be the primary architect and engine behind Carrum’s VoluntaryFlex (“VFlex”) plan design model which mandates coverage for specific services. Your objective will be to both grow the VFlex service and streamline its delivery. Specific responsibilities:
Empower Client Success (CS) & Sales to win VFlex upsells
Optimize carrier redirect processes and minimize operational exceptions and leakage that erode utilization
Scout, validate, and execute untapped opportunities to grow and improve performance of the VFlex model
Build the frameworks to track, report, and grow utilization and improve member experience
Conduct the analytics to enable VFlex success.
This role is crucial in managing the execution of our most valuable utilization lever that results in higher revenue per life. You will work closely with senior leaders from across the organization including: Executive, Sales, Customer Success, Health Plan, Network, Operations and Finance. This is a truly pivotal and highly-visible role for Carrum, and a fantastic way to develop expertise in the inner workings of a successful Value-Based Care business.
The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $200,000 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity and an annual bonus.

Directly boost Carrum’s bottom line by equipping Sales and CS with the tools to convert VFlex upsells
Partner with Operations and Health Plan teams to ensure our VFlex engine runs at efficiently and effectively
Map the member journey top to bottom and identify opportunities to improve the experience of members engaging with Carrum under the VFlex model
Use rigorous analysis to secure internal buy-in and turn insights into high-impact growth and efficiency initiatives
Become the definitive expert on VFlex performance, monitoring trends and reporting directly to the executive and management teams
Influence the future of the company through consistent, high-impact facetime with our C-suite and senior leadership.

Can navigate health plan discussions with confidence and credibility, leveraging a collaborative approach to successfully implementing and improving VFlex in partnership with health plans
Think like a consultant and are highly analytical. You are at home in spreadsheets and can easily interpret data.
Can demonstrate strong project management skills with an ability to create, execute, and adjust plans as needed
Are entrepreneurial and resourceful; you can find creative ways to make a big impact quickly and without much direction
Can strike a balance between quantitative rigor and qualitative, situation-specific nuance
Are an adept communicator who can influence thinking and action across a wide array of stakeholders in the absence of a direct reporting relationship
Have experience handling deadlines, keeping many balls in the air, and prioritizing work in a fast-paced, dynamic environ
