We are seeking a highly technical and strategic Financial Systems Director to lead the architecture, implementation, and optimization of our healthcare billing and financial infrastructure. In this critical leadership role, you will spearhead the development of a world-class, HIPAA-compliant billing ecosystem. By leveraging your deep expertise in revenue cycle management (RCM) and cutting-edge AI/ML technologies, you will automate complex workflows, drive seamless integrations across our tech stack, and align cross-functional teams to support our rapid growth. 

The salary range for this role is $200,000 -$250,000 depending on geography and level of experience, plus equity and an annual bonus.

System Architecture & Implementation

  • Build the Foundation: Stand up a robust, HIPAA-compliant billing system that enables seamless claims-based billing and includes a fully integrated clearinghouse for claims payments.

  • Future-Proof Financial Tech: Facilitate and architect future upgrades to our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools to ensure long-term scalability.

Automation & Engineering

  • Build RCM Tools: Design, build, and deploy automated tools to support claims ingestion and submission to health plans, eligibility verification, patient responsibility, claims adjudication and ACH processing to support and enhance end-to-end revenue cycle management.

  • Streamline Verification: Automate patient, payer, and benefit verification processes to reduce manual overhead and improve accuracy.

  • Automate Reporting: Develop automated solutions for client and provider billing, ensuring accurate and timely compliance reports.

Integration & Optimization

  • Unify the Tech Stack: Lead the seamless integration of the new billing system with Salesforce, Carrum's Care Platform, Clearing Houses(s) and NetSuite.

  • Optimize Workflows: Continuously optimize revenue cycle management by streamlining system integrations, identifying bottlenecks, and automating manual workflows.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate to Win: Work cross-functionally between the Finance, Platform, Provider, Client Success, Commercial, Legal, and Compliance teams to establish, maintain, and scale a world-class billing tool.

  • Industry Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience working in and architecting HIPAA-compliant healthcare billing systems.

  • Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of revenue cycle management (RCM), invoicing, claims-based billing, working with a Third Party Billing Administrator, Clearing House(s), ERPs, and other modern financial platforms.

  • Educational Background: A 4-year technical degree (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a highly related technical field).

  • Advanced Technology Skills: Proven, practical experience leveraging AI/ML tools and methodologies to automate complex workflows and financial processes.
