What You Will Need:

  • 6+ years of product management experience with a strong foundational background, typically including a B. Tech and MBA or equivalent professional experience.

  • Direct experience with payment technologies or a profound understanding of how complex payment systems and APIs work.

  • A proven track record of working closely with engineering teams to define and deliver technology-first and scalable product solutions.

  • Exceptional influencing skills required to compel and persuade individuals and teams across the organization (e.g., Sales, Legal, Engineering) without direct authority.

  • Demonstrated experience operating effectively in a cross-functional, agile product team environment.

  • Experience collaborating with UX/UI teams to envision, scope, and build customer-first products that deliver superior user experiences.

  • Proven ability to weigh complex product trade-offs and make clear, decisive calls, especially in ambiguous and fast-changing regulatory environments.

  • Deep analytical skills to use both structured and unstructured data to define key metrics, validate product hypotheses, and inform critical business decisions.

  • Ability to simplify highly complex technical and regulatory concepts and communicate them with clear, logical thinking to diverse audiences.

  • Proficiency in writing code in Python, SQL, or a willingness to rapidly learn any other structured programming language to facilitate data analysis and prototyping.


🎯 What You Will Do (Focus: Cards POD)

As a Senior Product Manager in the Cards POD, you will be instrumental in evolving Cashfree Payments' acquiring and issuing capabilities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of card payments innovation and compliance.

Core Cards Product Strategy & Execution:

  • Network Collaboration & Innovation: Work directly with major card networks (VISA, Mastercard, RuPay, Amex) to develop and launch cutting-edge solutions that solve high-impact merchant problems and significantly enhance consumer ease of payments.

  • Regulatory Leadership: Deeply understand and proactively monitor the rapidly changing regulatory landscape for card payments (e.g., tokenization, auto-debit mandates, new frameworks). Ensure Cashfree Payments not only remains compliant but innovates at a higher velocity than the market, leveraging new regulations as a competitive advantage.

  • Acquiring Capability Development: Develop and strategically scale our in-house acquiring capabilities to handle both Authentication (AuthN) and Authorization (AuthZ) processes with maximum efficiency, reliability, and security.

  • Banking Partnerships & TSP Products: Work on building specialized Technological Service Provider (TSP) products and services for partner banks, focusing on Cards acquiring solutions.

  • GTM Strategy and Growth: Define the comprehensive Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy for new card products, identifying the right user persona, optimal launch channels, and defining product-led growth (PLG) opportunities to drive rapid adoption.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Product Ownership:

  • Be an active listener to deeply understand and synthesize comments and concerns expressed by internal and external stakeholders.

  • Effectively work with stakeholders across the organization to prioritize the highest-impact problems to solve.

  • Own and manage the product backlog, meticulously prioritizing product stories and managing execution in engineering sprints.

  • Clearly identify and articulate the impact of product decisions on upstream and downstream systems, detailing trade-offs, and calculating the anticipated benefits.

  • You will work extremely closely with all cross-functional stakeholders, including and not limited to the Sales Team, Marketing Team, Operations Team, Software Developers, Data Scientists, Service Designers, and Business Analysts to deliver unified solutions.
