Opportunity

We are looking for an Associate Director - Integrations to lead and scale Cashfree’s Integration Engineering and Technical Solutions Engineering (TSE) functions.

This leader will define the roadmap, operating model, and capability strategy for merchant integrations, technical support and Solutions engineering, ensuring a seamless and scalable merchant experience across integration, go-live, and post-production phases.

The role requires a strong blend of technical fluency, business judgment, and cross-functional influence, with the ability to align decisions to overall company priorities while maintaining a high bar for merchant experience.

What You’ll Own

1. Vision & Strategy

• Define and execute the roadmap for Integration Engineering and TSE in alignment with company growth objectives.

• Continuously improve integration experience, time-to-go-live, etc.

• Establish measurable goals around SLA adherence, issue recurrence reduction, and merchant satisfaction.

• Build scalable processes, playbooks, evaluate and adopt tooling frameworks to support long-term growth.

2. Team Leadership & Capability Building

• Lead and mentor managers and senior engineers across the Integration and TSE teams.

• Build strong domain expertise within the team across APIs, SDKs, webhooks, plugins, and enterprise deployments.

• Develop structured escalation and ownership frameworks to ensure clarity and accountability.

• Strengthen documentation, knowledge management, and training mechanisms.

• Hire and develop future leaders within the function.

3. Merchant Experience & Escalation Readiness

• Provide leadership oversight on complex or high-impact merchant situations when required.

• Ensure structured root-cause analysis and systemic resolution of recurring issues.

• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure merchant commitments are realistic, scalable, and aligned with platform capabilities.

4. Cross-Functional Alignment & Prioritisation

• Work closely with Product and Engineering to improve product supportability and reduce friction in integrations.

• Collaborate with Sales and Merchant Success to ensure technical commitments align with platform capabilities and business priorities.

• Bring structured prioritisation to incoming requests, balancing merchant impact, revenue potential, scalability, and engineering bandwidth.

• Influence roadmap decisions using data-driven insights from integration trends and escalation analytics.

5. Operational Excellence

• Own integration SLAs, escalation governance, and resolution standards.

• Drive adoption of tooling for observability, debugging efficiency, and ticket analytics.

• Identify recurring issue patterns and convert them into product or process improvements.

• Ensure readiness to handle production-impacting events with clarity and coordination.

What We’re Looking For

Experience

• 12+ years of experience in integrations, solutions engineering, developer experience, or similar technical roles.

• 5+ years leading technical teams in high growth SaaS, fintech, or API driven businesses.

• Experience operating in environments where business growth and technical scalability must be balanced.

• Proven track record of improving operational maturity within technical support or integration functions.

Technical Fluency

• Strong understanding of API, SDK integrations, and distributed systems.

• Comfortable engaging in technical design and debugging discussions, even if not actively coding.

• Working knowledge of databases, logs, networking fundamentals, and cloud environments.

• Ability to ramp quickly on evolving platform capabilities and product changes.

Leadership & Decision-Making

• Strong ability to influence without authority across Sales, Product, and Engineering.

• Demonstrated business judgment in prioritising technical efforts.

• Executive-level communication skills.

• Calm and structured approach in high-pressure situations.

• Focus on systemic improvements over tactical firefighting.
