What You Will Do:

As a strategic business development leader at Cashfree Payments, you will identify and cultivate key partnerships with startup incubators, industry networks, and business communities to drive merchant acquisition and expand our customer base. You will develop and implement effective strategies to attract and onboard merchants from partner networks and incubators, ensuring seamless integration of their needs with our payment solutions. Additionally, you will represent Cashfree Payments at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build relationships, generate leads, and promote our payment solutions.

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including startup incubators, industry networks, and business communities, to drive merchant acquisition and expand our customer base.

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and onboard merchants from partner networks and incubators, aligning their needs with Cashfree Payments’ solutions.

  • Represent Cashfree Payments at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build relationships, generate leads, and promote our payment solutions.

  • Conduct research to understand market trends, identify potential partners, and evaluate opportunities for merchant acquisition.

  • Work closely with internal teams to tailor our offerings and ensure seamless integration for new merchants brought in through various channels.

  • Oversee and manage the pipeline of potential partners and merchant leads, ensuring effective tracking, follow-up, and conversion.

  • Drive operational excellence by optimizing processes related to partnership development and merchant onboarding, ensuring efficiency and high performance.

  • Provide regular updates and insights on partnership activities, merchant acquisition progress, pipeline status, and market trends to senior management.

What You Will Need:

To excel in this role, you will require 5-8 years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships with startup incubators or venture capitalists, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing merchant relationships within the startup business sector. You must possess a strong understanding of the fintech landscape, payment technologies, and startup ecosystems. Additionally, you should have exceptional communication, negotiation, and networking skills to build and maintain strategic partnerships and acquire new merchants.

  • 5-8 years of experience in business development and strategic partnerships with startup incubators or venture capitalists, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully acquiring and managing merchant relationships within the startup business sector.

  • Strong understanding of the fintech landscape, payment technologies, and startup ecosystems.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships and acquire new merchants.

  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
