Assistant Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis

About the Role:

 

The Cashfree Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team provides finance support across a variety of business functions. The team plays a key role in providing financial planning, reporting and decision support analytics to business leaders. We are seeking a dynamic finance professional for our FP&A team based in Bengaluru, India. This position will be a key role within our rapidly growing business and will require to develop effective working relationships across multiple functions at Cashfree. This role will directly influence strategic business decisions by driving financial planning, data-led analysis, revenue and cost optimization, and process automation witin a fast-growing payment gateway ecosystem.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Lead MIS and management decks and bring strategic insights, for management and Investor reporting

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, monthly variance analysis, scenario planning, and sensitivity analysis

  • Review results against budget, forecast and prior periods and prepare monthly variance analysis and commentary

  • Lead Due Diligence for funding rounds

  • Be the finance business partner to cross-functional teams, enabling them to drive business growth

  • Drive revenue and cost optimization by identifying gaps, leakages, and efficiency opportunities

  • Maintain a strong pulse on business drivers and proactively raise red flags or suggest improvements

  • Analyze deal and customer-level profitability, including pricing decisions and ROI assessments

  • Drive automation and dashboarding of financial data to support decision-making

  • Continuously optimize financial processes and ensure planning systems are efficient and scalable

  • Conduct benchmarking studies to assess company performance vs. industry standards

  • While financial analysis will clearly be an important element of the role, the emphasis is on applying overall analytical skills and experience to become a highly valued business partner

 

What You’ll Need:

 

Professional:

  • Qulaified CA and/or MBA Finance from Tier 1 institute

  • 3-5 years of business experience in FP&A with focus on undertaking detailed financial analysis, automating / systematizing reports

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, P&L management, cost and revenue drivers

  • Strong financial and risk analysis experience

  • High attention to detail and ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong experience in financial services or payments industry

  • Strong ethics, integrity and accountability with ability to maintain independence, autonomy and confidentiality

  • Able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and activities and pivot quickly when necessary

  • Willing to engage in a broad range of activities necessary to support the cross-functional teams

  • Able to maintain effectiveness in an environment with uncertainties

  • Go-getter, proactive and a team player

  • Enjoys collaborating with others, constantly seeking to identify win/win solutions and align goals with Visa’s strategic objectives

Technical:

  • Advanced Excel skills, working knowledge of SQL, Power BI, or other analytics tools is a plus

  • Strong finance and accounting knowledge

Business:

  • Strong business partnering skills, excellent judgement and decision-making ability in a collaborative style

  • Strong problem solving skills, with demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues and risks, including root cause analysis

  • Strong communication skills: oral, written and presentation skills, interpersonal, and influencing skills to drive effective change at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to anticipate and identify opportunities to establish areas of growth, as well as develop and recommend solutions
