As an Accounts Payable ("AP") Associate at Cover Genius, you will join a rapidly expanding Global Financial Operations team, reporting to the Associate Director, Global Accounts Payable. This role requires a knowledgeable, resourceful, and driven team player who will support and assist in the evolution of day-to-day AP processes while working cross-functionally across the organization.
The AP Associate will support key financial processes related to global costs and continually enable all departments of the business in its rapid growth. We are looking for a reliable, self-starting individual with stellar communication skills who works exceptionally well with others and wants to be part of a global insurtech company with the vision to protect all customers of the world’s largest digital companies.
Accurately process a high volume of vendor invoices and ensure timely payment runs.
Maintain strong vendor relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving payment discrepancies.
Support weekly payment processing, ensuring compliance with payment schedules.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and assist with external audit requirements.
Reconcile AP transactions and vendor statements to ensure accounts are up to date.
Ensure timely reimbursement of employee expenses and address any discrepancies.
Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and overall process improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to answer questions and resolve discrepancies.
2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, or related financial roles.
Experience working with NetSuite and Coupa preferred.
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google sheets.
Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, general accounting practices, and financial controls.
Technical Accounting career, Bachelors Degree preferred.
Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to manage vendor and internal relationships effectively.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
A self-starter who can suggest process enhancements for better efficiency.
Ability to interact professionally with vendors, employees, and finance teams across different regions.
Ability to accurately process vendor invoices and ensure compliance with company policies.
Expert multitasker and self-prioritizer.
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) to analyze expenses and financial data.
Takes ownership for responsibilities with a positive attitude.

** The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - 130,000
