About the Role
Cover Genius Insurance Product Managers are the resident experts on specific product lines, serving as the go-to resource for coverage analysis, pricing, and regulatory filings. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of products, including developing product line strategies and supporting our partnerships team to increase market penetration.
We are seeking an experienced Insurance Product Manager to join our team and manage our Ticketing and Cruise products. To drive success in this role, you will need experience developing and modifying insurance programs, negotiating, and working cross-functionally. Regular collaboration with the pricing, partnerships, compliance, and development teams will be key in designing profitable, scalable, and partner-suited products.
Key Responsibilities
Developing new products across various business verticals relating to ticketing, cruise, cancel for any reason, and logistics insurance and support of partnerships team with customer-centric solutions
Day to day management existing product portfolios, including reporting and improvements to underwriting, product and policy wording
General management of and guiding of underwriting efforts and policy requirements/issues including supply side partner management
Weekly and monthly general reporting including presenting commentary at meetings as needed
Continuing development of depth of knowledge of insurance products, including coverage innovations and pricing changes, and regulatory developments
Work closely with the partnership team on developing new partnerships and preparing proposals and financial modeling
What you will bring
Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years' experience in developing insurance products, pricing and/or underwriting at an insurer or broker
Track record in ongoing product and portfolio management
Experience in designing and writing policies and other insurance related documentation
Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field. A postgraduate degree and/or record of academic achievement is also desirable

Proven ability to foster and develop relationships with key external and internal stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to independently take initiative on projects
Ability to adapt quickly to a start-up pace environment and culture
Produce reports and analyze performance to maximize opportunity and market share
A clear understanding of product design and proposition - what makes it a success or failure
Experience working in producing business in multiple markets around the world is an advantage
Experience in product entry strategies, product designs and growing revenue

*The cash compensation range for this role is $125,000- $160,000. Compensation will vary based on experience and location.
