The Tax Manager will be responsible for end-to-end ownership of global income tax compliance and provision, including coordination with external advisors, review of tax filings, management of quarterly and annual tax provision processes, and support of audits and tax-related inquiries. The role will also oversee recurring miscellaneous tax obligations, including property taxes, annual reports and unclaimed property filings.
In addition, the Tax Manager will provide technical oversight of data gathering and compliance activities, establish and maintain filing calendars and controls, and work cross-functionally with other teams to ensure timely, accurate and consistent tax reporting. This role will serve as the primary internal point of accountability for income tax matters and help reduce reliance on external advisors for recurring compliance and provision work.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end global income tax compliance, including coordination with external advisors, review of federal, state, and foreign income tax filings, and management of filing calendars and deliverables.
Manage quarterly and annual income tax provision processes under ASC 740, including data collection, analysis, review of provision calculations, and support of financial statement disclosures.
Serve as the primary point of contact for income tax audits, notices and information requests.
Oversee recurring miscellaneous tax obligations, including property taxes, annual reports, and unclaimed property.
Review and direct data gathering and compliance support activities, ensuring accuracy and consistency of inputs provided internally and to external advisors.
Identify process improvements and implement controls to improve efficiency, accuracy and audit readiness.
Support special projects as needed, including corporate transactions, entity reorganizations, and other tax initiatives.
What you will bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA and/or MST preferred
5-8+ years of experience in income tax; Big 4 or large accounting firm background preferred
Strong experience with U.S. and foreign income tax compliance and provision
Mastery of ASC 740 provision standards.
Experience coordinating and reviewing work performed by external tax advisors
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders
Clear communicator with the ability to partner effectively across functions

*The cash compensation range for this role is $100,000- $150,000. Compensation will vary based on experience.
