About the role

As an Insurance Operations Delivery Lead (EMEA), you will be responsible for the structural integrity and efficiency of the EMEA Insurance team’s delivery model. Your objective is to eliminate operational friction and ensure that as we scale, our execution remains consistent across all global verticals. Working at the intersection of Insurance, Product, Engineering, and Data, you will own the frameworks that turn complex insurance operations into repeatable, high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Framework Governance & Evolution: Execute the established EMEA operational framework for all insurance launches. Audit every product path from inception to live state to eliminate bespoke, manual configurations. Identify friction points in the existing process and iterate on the documentation to improve launch velocity.

  • Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end management of cross-functional initiatives (system upgrades, regulatory rollouts). Map work-breakdown structures, maintain Gantt charts, and manage the critical path. Chair synchronisation meetings and provide data-driven status reports to the Executive team.

  • Process Optimisation: Audit the delivery pipeline monthly to identify manual bottlenecks. Quantify the time/cost impact of these tasks and partner with Product and Engineering leads to convert them into automated features or system-driven workflows.

  • Knowledge & Record Management: Design and own the structural framework for the central repository to ensure the business is audit-ready at all times. Manage all documentation (design specs, SOPs, legal wordings) with timestamped version control and formal approvals to mitigate regulatory risk.

  • Bi-Weekly Retrospectives: Chair standardised bi-weekly retro sessions following major launches or project milestones. Maintain a centralised Improvement Log to track feedback items from initial submission through to technical implementation and final verification.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Serve as the primary operational link to the Customer Team. Ingest process improvements and pain points from the Customer Team and take full ownership of the technical delivery with the Insurance and Tech teams.

To help us level up, you'll ideally have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of demonstrable experience in operations, delivery, project management, or business analysis.

  • Have a strong background, preferably within a high-growth Fintech or Insurance start-up environment, successfully leading and executing complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives.

  • Experience of using tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence is desirable.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to independently and proactively take the initiative on projects. You are comfortable holding cross-functional stakeholders accountable to timelines and quality standards.

  • Exceptional communication: You can clearly and concisely articulate complex ideas, both verbally and in writing. You are skilled at translating detailed operational status updates into actionable reports for diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior leadership.

  • Data-driven problem solving: You possess a strong analytical mind, able to use metrics and data interpretation to identify operational bottlenecks and drive process refinement.

  • You have a proven ability to foster strong working relationships to collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to achieve shared organisational goals.
