About the Role

As an Insurance Content Owner, you are the strategic architect of our insurance narrative. You won’t just execute content; you will own the end-to-end insurance content strategy for all product launches, ensuring that every touchpoint in the customer journey is clear, transparent, and human.

To drive success in this role, you must be a "Plain English" evangelist with a passion for dismantling complex legalese. You will lead the production of insurance documentation that is so simple and jargon-free that a non-expert can understand their coverage instantly.

At Cover Genius, we view technology as a force multiplier. You are a modern content strategist who naturally integrates AI into your daily workflow to scale high-quality content, conduct readability audits, and optimize the "CG Voice" across our global platform. Working at the intersection of Insurance, Legal, and Product teams, you will act as the final gatekeeper for our brand voice, ensuring that compliance never comes at the cost of clarity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content Strategy & AI-Powered Governance: Own the end-to-end insurance content strategy. You will establish a human-centric, jargon-free voice and leverage AI as a force multiplier to ensure this "Plain English" standard is applied consistently and efficiently across all products and markets.

  • The Plain English Standard: Lead the production of all product content to ensure it is jargon-free and transparent. Content must be specifically crafted so that a layperson can understand their coverage instantly.

  • AI-Driven Testing and Optimization: Utilize AI tools to conduct readability audits, sentiment analysis, and automated QA testing. You will ensure that every string of content meets our quality standards before it goes live on the XCover platform.

  • Regulatory and Compliance Leadership: Ensure all documentation meets rigorous regulatory requirements while maintaining a clear and user-friendly tone. You will prove that compliance does not have to be dense or difficult to navigate.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the creation and approval of insurance content for new product launches. You will act as the final gatekeeper for the brand voice across all XCover touchpoints.

  • Platform and Systems Ownership: Manage and optimize the internal CMS to ensure that simplified content is accurately mapped, tested, and localized across the CMS platform.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the translator between technical Insurance Product Managers and the end customer. You will convert complex policy details into accessible and engaging messaging.

Skills & Experience:

What you will bring:

  • Experience: 5+ years in product content or UX writing within Insurtech, Fintech, or a similarly complex regulated industry.

  • AI Fluency: You are an early adopter of AI who sees technology as a partner. You have a proven ability to use AI tools (such as Gemini, Claude, or specialized content AI) to brainstorm, draft, and refine high-quality content.

  • Quality Oversight: You possess the critical eye needed to audit AI-generated content for accuracy, empathy, and compliance ensuring the "human" element is never lost in automation.

  • The Human Lens: A proven portfolio of transforming dense or technical documents into simple and conversational prose without losing the underlying meaning or compliance.

  • Strategic Writing: Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a mastery of Plain English principles and the ability to apply them to insurance disclosures and policies.

  • Technical Proficiency: Experience managing content within a CMS and understanding how string-based content fits into a SaaS or API-driven architecture.

  • Project Leadership: Experience leading content strategy for medium-to-large scale product launches, managing timelines and stakeholders in a high-growth environment.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Law, or a related field.

What you will have:

  • Operational Excellence: Superior organizational skills with the ability to take full ownership of projects, managing complex dependencies to deliver high-quality work against tight deadlines.

  • Global Mindset: Mastery of Plain English principles with the ability to create content that scales. Experience collaborating with Translation and Localization teams to ensure the brand voice remains consistent across different languages and cultures.

  • Strategic Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. You are comfortable with ambiguity and can pivot quickly as product requirements or market regulations evolve.

  • Collaborative Influence: A natural ability to build bridges between Technical, Legal, and Product teams, advocating for the user’s experience while respecting the guardrails of the insurance industry.

  • Tech-Forward Problem Solving: A proactive approach to identifying bottlenecks in the content lifecycle and implementing modern solutions (such as AI or CMS optimizations) to solve them.
