About the role

Cover Genius is seeking an Insurance Product Manager and Local Insurance Operational Manager to join our insurance product team in developing and sourcing new products, and maintaining and enhancing existing products. 

Cover Genius Insurance Product Managers are the resident experts across insurance product lines and the go-to resource for coverage analysis and innovation, pricing, and filing requirements and regulations. 

You will be responsible for all aspects of products sourced and developed within our operations including developing and communicating product line strategies, and supporting the partnerships team in providing product solutions in order to meet partner demands and increase market penetration.

What will your day look like? You will...

  • Day to day management existing product portfolios, including reporting and improvements to underwriting, product and policy wording 

  • Ownership for ensuring the agency’s operations adhere to the Turkish Insurance Law (No. 5684), the Insurance Agencies Regulation , and all supplemental directives or guidance issued by the SEDDK and related regulatory authorities.

  • Support the solutions team in the development of new products across various business verticals and insurance product lines.

  • Tailor products for new partners, supporting the partnerships team with customer-centric solutions 

  • Weekly and monthly general reporting including presenting commentary at meetings as needed

  • Managing day-to-day product requirements with underwriters, including content reviews, coverage requests and pricing

  • Managing day-to-day Insurance Operations requirements for our Turkish branch

  • Monitoring of regulatory developments across product lines

  • Work closely with the partnership team on developing new partnerships and preparing proposals and financial modeling

To help us level up, you'll ideally have:

  • 5+ years Experience in working in insurance product development, pricing and/or underwriting at an insurer or broker.

  • Minimum 2 years of documented insurance experience (SGK records).

  • Must hold a valid "Technical Personnel Qualification Certificate" issued by SEGEM.

  • Must be able to work exclusively for our agency (cannot hold another job or be registered with another agency).

  • No criminal record preventing employment in the insurance sector (as per Law No. 5684) and no history of bankruptcy/concordat.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally a bachelor's degree in a relevant field e.g. a degree in Insurance or Actuarial Sciences (4 years) or other Undergraduate Degree (4 years) or Associate Degree in Insurance (2 years):

  • A postgraduate degree and/or record of academic achievement is also desirable
