Design Manager

Job type: Full Time · Department: Marketing · Work type: Hybrid

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India

About the Role

We’re looking for a Design Manager who can bring structure, momentum, and clarity to design-led work—while also stepping in to shape strong narratives when needed.

This is a PM-led role. Writing is an important supporting skill, but not the primary focus. You’ll be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving the delivery of design and content initiatives across teams, timelines, and stakeholders. If you enjoy owning outcomes, keeping creative work on track, and knowing when to step in with the right words, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Own design and content delivery end-to-end:

  • Plan, track, and deliver design-led projects across pitches, marketing assets, videos, case studies, and internal communications

  • Break down briefs into clear scopes, tasks, timelines, and milestones

  • Coordinate with designers, writers, marketers, and leadership to manage inputs, reviews, and dependencies

  • Track progress, manage iterations, and ensure deadlines are met without last-minute chaos

  • Proactively flag risks, delays, or resourcing gaps and recommend solutions

  • Maintain strong delivery hygiene using tools like Monday.com, ClickUp, Notion, or similar

Support writing and narrative where it matters:

  • Step in to write or shape high-impact narratives, including pitch storytelling, video scripts, and case stories

  • Turn rough or fragmented inputs into clear, structured stories

  • Ensure consistency of voice, tone, and messaging across design and content outputs

  • Review and refine content to improve clarity, flow, and effectiveness

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who can think like a planner, communicate like a storyteller, and execute with confidence. The ideal person will have:

  • 4-5 years of experience in design, creative, content, or agency environments

  • Proven experience owning delivery—not just contributing to execution

  • Strong project management and organizational skills

  • Clear, confident written communication

  • The ability to manage multiple stakeholders and feedback loops with ease

  • Comfort balancing structure with creative judgment

Nice to Have

  • Experience working closely with design or creative teams

  • Familiarity with creative ops or design ops

  • Experience supporting sales, marketing, or product storytelling

  • Exposure to fast-paced agency or SaaS environments
