Senior Salesforce Developer

Job type: Full Time · Department: Delivery Team - Gaya · Work type: Remote

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India; India

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer who builds with precision, communicates with

clarity, and takes ownership of their work end to end. You are someone who has grown beyond just

writing code — you understand the business context behind every requirement, you know the

Salesforce platform deeply, and you are actively keeping pace with where the platform is heading,

particularly in AI and agentic automation. You will be embedded in delivery teams, working closely

with architects, business analysts, and clients to build solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and

fit for purpose.

Core Development Skills

• Apex development: triggers, batch jobs, queueable and future methods, async patterns, and

a strong instinct for governor limits

• Lightning Web Components (LWC): component architecture, lifecycle hooks, wire adapters,

event handling, and reusable component design

• Lightning Web Runtime (LWR): building experience sites and custom applications with an

understanding of routing and performance considerations

• Salesforce Flows: record-triggered, screen, autolaunched, and scheduled flows — knowing

when to use Flow vs. code is as important as knowing how

• SOQL and SOSL: writing efficient queries, understanding relationship traversal, and avoiding

common performance pitfalls

• Platform Events and Change Data Capture: implementing event-driven patterns where

appropriate

• Strong grasp of Salesforce security model: profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-

level security

Agentforce & AI — Mandatory Knowledge

Agentforce and AI on the Salesforce platform is not new. A senior developer at this level is

expected to have solid, working knowledge of how it functions — not necessarily through large-

scale enterprise deployments, but through genuine exploration, hands-on experimentation, and a

clear understanding of the direction the platform is taking.

• Solid understanding of Agentforce — how agents are configured, how topics and instructions

work, and how custom actions are built using Apex and Flow

• Hands-on experience with Agent Builder, even in sandbox or personal project environments

• Familiarity with Prompt Builder and how Prompt Templates are used to power generative AI

use cases within Salesforce

• Working knowledge of Einstein Copilot and how Copilot Actions connect to business

processes

• Understanding of how Salesforce Data Cloud feeds agent context — what unified profiles are,

how data streams work, and why grounding matters

• Ability to have an informed conversation about agentic AI on Salesforce — its capabilities, its

current limitations, and where it is heading

Integrations & APIs

• Building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs, including error handling and retry patterns

• Configuring Named Credentials and Auth Providers for secure external connections

• Using point-and-click tools — Flow and integration procedures — alongside code-based

callouts

• Working with Bulk API for data migration and large-volume operations

• Familiarity with event-driven integration patterns using Platform Events

DevOps & Ways of Working

• Salesforce DX — source-driven development, scratch orgs, and package-based deployment

• Git — branching, pull requests, and collaborative code review

• CI/CD pipeline experience: Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or GitHub Actions

• Writing meaningful Apex test classes and contributing to overall test coverage standards

• Comfortable working in both Agile environments (sprints, standups, retrospectives) and

structured Waterfall delivery (milestone-based, SOW-driven)

• Clear and professional communication — in documentation, in code comments, and with

stakeholders

What Makes the Right Candidate

• You understand the business problem before you write a single line of code

• You stay current — not because someone told you to, but because you are genuinely curious

about where the platform is going

• You write code that your teammates can read, maintain, and build on

• You are comfortable asking questions early and flagging risks before they become problems

• You take ownership — of your deliverables, your quality, and your professional growth
