Lead Salesforce Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Salesforce Developer who combines strong technical expertise with ownership, problem-solving, and clear communication. This role is suited for someone who has evolved beyond just writing code — someone who understands the business context behind every requirement, thinks critically about scalable solution design, and stays actively updated on the evolving Salesforce ecosystem.

You will work closely with architects, business analysts, clients, and delivery teams to build solutions that are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. Alongside development, you will also mentor junior developers and help drive engineering best practices across teams.

Core Development Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in Apex development, including triggers, batch jobs, queueables, future methods, asynchronous processing, and governor limit optimization

  • Expertise in Lightning Web Components (LWC), including component architecture, lifecycle hooks, wire adapters, event handling, and reusable component design

  • Experience with Lightning Web Runtime (LWR), Experience Cloud, and custom application development

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce Flows, with the ability to determine when declarative automation is more appropriate than custom code

  • Proficiency in SOQL and SOSL with a focus on query optimization and performance best practices

  • Experience implementing event-driven architectures using Platform Events and Change Data Capture

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce security architecture including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, and field-level security

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and emerging technologies

Integrations & APIs

  • Experience building and consuming REST and SOAP APIs

  • Strong understanding of secure integrations using Named Credentials and Auth Providers

  • Experience handling integrations using both declarative tools and Apex callouts

  • Familiarity with Bulk API for large-volume data operations and migrations

  • Understanding of error handling, retry mechanisms, and event-driven integration patterns

DevOps & Ways of Working

  • Experience with Salesforce DX, source-driven development, scratch orgs, and package-based deployments

  • Proficiency with Git, pull requests, branching strategies, and collaborative code reviews

  • Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Copado, Gearset, Flosum, or GitHub Actions

  • Strong understanding of Apex testing standards and code quality practices

  • Comfortable working in Agile as well as structured Waterfall delivery environments

  • Clear and professional communication skills across technical and stakeholder discussions

What Makes the Right Candidate

  • Understands the business problem before jumping into development

  • Writes clean, scalable, and maintainable code

  • Takes ownership of deliverables, quality, and continuous improvement

  • Proactively identifies risks and raises concerns early
