What We Need:

We're hiring a Global Payroll Manager to run payroll end to end for about 190 employees across the US, Canada, France, and the UK. We process US and Canada payroll semi-monthly and France and UK payroll monthly, and we run it all in Rippling. You'll handle corrections, reconcile payrolls to the books, and work closely with HR and Finance every cycle.

This role is 100% remote and open to candidates in the United States.

Why You Should Join Us:

You'll own payroll in four countries from one seat, with a direct working relationship with both Finance and HR. You'll have room to improve how payroll runs, including reporting, workflows, and the Rippling integration with our ERP. You'll report to our CFO during onboarding and move to our Controller within six months.

Who You Are:

You've run payroll in more than one system and more than one country, and you know where it breaks. You check your own work, tie payroll to the books, and raise problems early. You work well with both HR and Finance, and you'd rather fix a process than patch it.

What You Will Do:

  • Process and manage payroll in Rippling for the US and Canada (semi-monthly) and France and the UK (monthly).

  • Review every run for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance, and manage corrections as needed (off-cycle runs, retroactive adjustments, reversals).

  • Reconcile payrolls and validate benefits deductions and contributions for accuracy, and be deeply familiar with the benefit types offered in every jurisdiction where we operate. HR owns benefits administration, and you reconcile the payroll impact to enrollments and to carrier and provider invoices.

  • Gather and validate inputs for irregular earnings, including bonus, commission, severance, and hourly pay, in coordination with the teams that calculate them.

  • Regularly review expense reimbursement requests in line with policy and sync them to our ERP for appropriate accounting.

  • Own state tax registrations and coordinate between states and Rippling as we hire in new locations.

  • Manage unemployment claims and garnishments, with support from HR.

  • Partner with HR to oversee 401(k) and pension programs, ensuring all contributions are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with plan requirements.

  • Assist HR with workers' compensation audits and other payroll-related audits.

  • Stay current on payroll laws and tax regulations in every jurisdiction where we operate.

  • Manage relationships with vendors and government agencies for payroll taxes and filings.

  • Support year-end activities (W-2s, T4s and Relevé 1s, P60s, etc.).

  • Answer employee questions about pay and deductions with clarity and care.

  • Lead process improvement and automation in Rippling, including reporting, workflows, and integrations.

  • Protect employee data confidentiality and security across all payroll systems.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including U.S. payroll management.

  • Experience with more than one payroll processing system.

  • Experience running payroll in at least one other country (Canada, U.K., EMEA, or similar).

  • Deep understanding of payroll compliance, multi-state tax registration, filing, and reporting requirements.

  • Experience reconciling payroll and resolving corrections.

  • Deep familiarity with employee benefit types in the US and internationally, and how each flows through payroll.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related business field (strongly preferred).

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized across multiple deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset, including with HR and Finance.

Nice To Have:

  • Hands-on Rippling experience.

  • Experience in a high-growth SaaS or tech company.

  • Experience with HRIS or accounting/ERP integrations.

  • A CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or equivalent certification.

Compensation & Eligibility:

This role is open to candidates currently residing in and authorized to work in the United States.

Salary base range for this role will be $115,000 to $135,000 USD/year. Actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location.

US Benefits:

  • Eligibility for Annual performance-linked bonus.

  • Affordable Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, including a no cost employee-only plan.

  • Paid parental leave.

  • 401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 5%.

  • Unlimited PTO, recharge days, and Christmas through New Year break.

  • Wellness Reimbursement or HQ Gym access.

  • Employee remote stipend.
