Job type: Full Time · Department: Finance · Work type: On-Site

About Us

Digantara is a leading Space Surveillance and Intelligence company focused on ensuring orbital safety and sustainability. With expertise in space-based detection, tracking, identification, and monitoring; Digantara provides comprehensive domain awareness across all orbital regimes, enabling end-users to gain actionable intelligence on a single integrated platform.

At the core of our infrastructure lies a sophisticated integration of hardware and mission-critical software aligned with the principles of situational awareness — perception (data collection), comprehension (data processing), and prediction (analytics). As we scale globally, we are building not just cutting-edge space systems, but also the financial and operational backbone required to become a world-class enterprise.

Behind every successful space mission is a strong financial engine. This role is that engine.

Why Us?

This is not a traditional finance role. This is a front-row seat to building a global deep-tech company in one of the most critical sectors of the future.

  1. Shape the financial architecture of a company defining orbital security and sustainability.

  1. Partner directly with founders and leadership to influence strategic decisions.

  1. Operate at the intersection of space-tech, capital efficiency, and global expansion.

  1. Experience the ownership, speed, and impact of a high-growth startup — without compromising on ambition or scale.

  1. Build systems that will support a global enterprise for decades.

If you want your work to matter beyond spreadsheets — this is where it does.

Ideal Candidate

  • We are seeking a hands-on, high-ownership finance leader who can build rigor and discipline without slowing down execution.

  • You are not just a controller. You are not just an FP&A head. You are a strategic finance partner who:

  • Has built and scaled finance functions in high-growth or complex environments.

  • Brings deep expertise across corporate finance, compliance, controls, and business finance.

  • Understands capital efficiency, runway management, and global expansion dynamics.

  • Is equally comfortable in boardrooms, audit discussions, and operating reviews.

  • Thrives in ambiguity and builds structure where none exists.

  • Balances governance with growth — enabling speed while strengthening controls.

  • You combine sharp analytical depth with strong business judgment and the ability to build high-performance teams.

Responsibilities

1. Corporate Finance, Controls & Compliance

  • Own financial accounting, audits, tax, and statutory compliance (India and global entities).

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for management and investors.

  • Strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and financial systems.

  • Build and execute financial strategies supporting global expansion.

  • Drive long-term financial planning including runway management and capital efficiency.

  • Partner with auditors, legal advisors, regulators, and external stakeholders.

  • Establish strong corporate governance and compliance discipline.

2. Systems, Processes & Scale

  • Build scalable finance processes, reporting frameworks, and control systems.

  • Standardize and structure financial discipline without slowing business momentum.

  • Lead automation and digitization of finance operations.

  • Develop systems that support multi-entity, global operations.

  • Build the financial infrastructure required to evolve into a global enterprise.

3. Business Finance & FP&A

  • Own annual operating plans, budgets, and rolling forecasts across all functions.

  • Drive margin analysis, contribution analysis, pricing frameworks, and cost optimization.

  • Establish and track key business metrics and financial performance indicators.

  • Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Product, and Engineering on cash flow and investment planning.

  • Provide financial decision support for new initiatives, expansions, and strategic projects.

  • Design executive and board-level dashboards and performance reporting.

  • Build robust cost control and capital allocation frameworks for scale.

4. Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team across corporate finance, accounting, and FP&A.

  • Develop second-line leadership and succession capability.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, transparency, accountability, and speed.

  • Act as a strategic thought partner to founders and business leaders.

Qualifications

  • CA Qualified.

  • 12+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.

  • Strong background in corporate finance and business finance.

  • Prior experience in high-growth startups, deep-tech, aerospace, manufacturing, or capital-intensive industries.

  • Proven experience setting up financial structures, controls, budgeting, planning, and reporting systems.

  • Experience managing audits, compliance, tax, and investor reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with founders and cross-functional leaders.

  • Strong analytical capability, commercial acumen, and leadership maturity.

Preferred Qualities

  • Experience supporting global expansion or multi-entity structures.

  • Exposure to capital raises, investor interactions, and board reporting.

  • Experience in automation and finance systems implementation.

  • Strong strategic thinking combined with operational execution ability.

General Requirements

  • High ownership mindset.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Willingness to work from office and collaborate closely with leadership.
