Ideal Candidate:
Strategic business development professional with the ability to lead complex capture opportunities and sovereign pursuits from qualification through award.
Strong engineering foundation with the ability to translate technical capabilities into effective business and capture strategies.
Demonstrated ability to shape customer-centric solutions by working closely with Sales, Partnerships, Solution Engineering, Product, and Proposal teams.
Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and driving cross-functional alignment to maximize Probability of Win (PWIN).
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify risks, influence pursuit strategy, and support solution positioning for government procurements.
Comfortable operating in dynamic, high-growth environments, balancing technical depth with strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Lead and own strategic capture planning for high-priority opportunities and sovereign procurements.
Develop and execute capture strategies to maximize Probability of Win (PWIN).
Determine optimal engagement strategy in consultation with Sales.
Shape solution, pricing, and positioning strategies aligned with customer priorities in coordination with the regional V.P.s.
Identify program risks, dependencies, and potential blockers to award.
Coordinate cross-functional capture activities across BD, Sales, Partnerships, Solution Engineering, and Proposals.
Drive bid governance, gate reviews, and pursuit strategy execution.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; an MBA is an added advantage.
Proven experience in strategic business development, capture management, or pursuit planning within the aerospace, defence, or government sector.
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex engineering solutions and translate customer requirements into effective business strategies.
Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, Partnerships, Solution Engineering, and Proposal functions.
Strong analytical, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Experience in developing capture strategies, supporting bid governance, and driving opportunity execution across complex government procurements.
Preferred Qualities:
Prior experience in Government Consultancy is preferred.
Knowledge of the defence and space ecosystem in India.
Awareness of regulatory guidelines in government and defence contracting.
Experience with international proposals (US, UK & Europe).
