Experience in direct and indirect tax compliance activities.
Understanding of tax filings, GST compliance, reconciliations, and tax documentation.
Ability to support tax audits, assessments, and compliance requirements.
Strong attention to detail with accuracy in tax records and reporting.
Ability to coordinate with finance teams and support tax operations.
Good analytical skills with a willingness to learn and improve processes.
Responsibilities:
Direct Tax Compliance
Support preparation and filing of direct tax returns and related compliance requirements.
Assist in preparation of tax computations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
Maintain tax records and documentation for audits and assessments.
Support responses to tax notices and queries.
Assist in tax audit activities and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Indirect Tax Compliance
Manage regular GST and other indirect tax compliance activities.
Support preparation and filing of GST returns and related reconciliations.
Perform GST reconciliations and ensure accuracy of tax data.
Maintain compliance records and supporting documents.
Assist in indirect tax audits and departmental queries.
Tax Operations & Reporting
Track tax compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
Prepare tax MIS and compliance status reports.
Coordinate with finance and business teams for required tax information.
Support process improvements and automation initiatives within tax operations.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the Manager – Tax on compliance and reporting activities.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax-related data and documentation.
Support implementation of tax processes and controls.
Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in direct and indirect tax compliance.
Good understanding of income tax, GST, and tax compliance processes.
Experience working with tax consultants or corporate tax teams is preferred.
Strong ownership and attention to compliance timelines.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proactive approach with willingness to take responsibility.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
