Digantara is building the world’s first maps for space, Space-Mission Assurance Platform™ (Space-MAP™). Space-MAP™ represents a revolutionary end-to-end infrastructure for sustainable space operations, offering a comprehensive space situational awareness (SSA) solution that simplifies and strengthens satellite operations in the face of the rapidly expanding commercialization of space.
Digantara is seeking a dynamic, highly adaptable Assistant Manager – Infrastructure Projects to work directly alongside leadership in driving end-to-end site expansions, cleanrooms/labs, command centre builds, and technical facilities execution across cities.
In this role, will own the complete site project lifecycle – from initial requirement gathering, design, vendor sourcing, and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) evaluation to hands-on site management, execution, and smooth handover – taking decisions at site considering the ground reality, vendor coordination and any out-of-scope work to the reporting Manager for approval. Must be comfortable travelling to other project cities, managing extended on-site stays during active execution phases, and maintaining impeccable, dispute-free relationships with vendors, landlords/Clients, and external regulatory authorities.
a) Drive multi-city office expansions, high-spec technical site setups, cleanroom/laboratory builds, and command centres from site takeover through completion.
b) Manage all site execution workflows on the ground with hands-on ownership, ensuring on-time delivery, quality control, and zero non-compliance issues.
c) Lead smooth site handovers, ensuring all snag lists, as-built documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, AMC set-up, testing certifications, and cleanroom validations are fully resolved with zero operational friction.
d) Post-handover facility operations are outside the scope of this role; involvement is limited to major rework or new vendor requirements at handed-over sites.
a) Lead vendor sourcing and market identification for specialized vendors (Civil, MEP, Interior, HVAC, Cleanrooms, IT/AV, and technical infrastructure).
b) Perform thorough BOQ (Bill of Quantities) technical reviews, rate validations, quote and tender comparisons, and scope validation, and share vendor recommendations with the reporting Manager for approval.
c) After approval, complete vendor onboarding, contract vetting, and NDA signing before any work begins; manage procurement documentation, including PO processing and bill verification against actual site measurements, concluding with the reporting Manager for sign-off before payment.
a) Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and MEP consultants to finalise layouts, drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications for functionality and compliance.
b) Define and execute high-spec technical areas such as ISO-classified cleanrooms, laboratories, server/IT rooms, power backup, pressure cascades, HEPA filtration systems, and ESD flooring.
a) Execute work strictly as per the approved BOQ and scope.
b) Seek prior written approval from the reporting Manager for any items outside the BOQ or additional scope before instructing vendors—ensuring zero unauthorised extra cost.
a) Serve as the primary operational liaison with building management teams and Client for site access, work permits, and utility setups.
b) Coordinate directly with authorities to secure necessary approvals, clearances, and operational permits for ongoing and future projects.
c) Ensure all construction, expansion, and facility modifications strictly adhere to agreed guidelines and statutory regulations.
a) Maintain active, hands-on on-site supervision during critical build phases to enforce EHS, quality, safety standards, and dust-free working protocols in occupied areas.
b) Act as the single point of contact for contractors and vendors, maintaining collaborative, dispute-free relationships to ensure work proceeds without complaints or escalations.
a) Travel to various project locations across India as required by project schedules.
b) Stay on-site in secondary project cities for extended periods during peak fit-out and handover phases.
a) Discuss and align site decisions, schedules, and progress reports with the reporting Manager before sharing with external stakeholders.
b) Maintain complete, audit-ready project records including Daily/Weekly Progress Reports (DPR/WPR), project trackers, statutory permits, dashboards, and Minutes of Meetings (MOMs).
b) Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Civil) or B.Arch. with MEP certification.
c) Core Technical Competencies: Strong expertise in BOQ review, rate analysis, vendor sourcing, contract vetting, cleanroom validation (ISO classes, pressure cascades, HEPA filtration, ESD flooring), and technical site supervision.
d) Software Tools: Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD / drawing viewers, Advanced Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
e) Independent Site Management: Proven track record of running site operations independently with minimal day-to-day supervision, while following defined approval processes.
f) Travel & Relocation Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently across project sites and stay at execution locations for extended periods as needed.
g) Vendor Management Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and diplomacy skills to resolve site friction smoothly and maintain high vendor accountability without generating complaints or conflict.
a) High Adaptability: Highly flexible in taking on varied project demands, changing site conditions, and shifting schedules.
b) Proactive Ownership: Takes full ownership of site outcomes, with strong attention to detail and the confidence to make on-ground execution decisions within the approved scope.
