Manager of Data Analytics & Intelligence

As the Manager of Data Analytics & Intelligence, you will manage the Data Analytics team by delivering insightful reports accurately and on time. You liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to anticipate their needs and help to foster a data-led culture. You should be able to work with both technical and non-technical teams to define and measure key business metrics and use them in insightful reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets data, analyzes results and identifies opportunities for new reporting

  • Validates data by continually reviewing both reports and data sources for accuracy and consistency

  • Independently creates and maintains reports and dashboards in Excel and Power BI

  • Adheres to (and helps improve) department standards and best practices

  • Manage and coach members of the Data Analytics team on technical issues and may act as a line manager

  • Administers and improves the data management system, including deployment pipelines

  • Documents client and internal reporting, including the reporting catalogue and data dictionary

  • Can understand and manage the ontology of our client and internal data independently

  • Partners with non-technical Project Managers to develop reporting suites for their projects (including setting KPIs)

  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to define clear signals of success with simple, easy-to-understand metrics

  • Operates effectively across all levels of the organization, building strong relationships with department heads and key stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and driving alignment to deliver results

  • Serves as a trusted analytical partner to senior leadership, responding to ad hoc executive requests with timely, accurate insights that inform strategic decisions

  • Leads and develops a high-performing team of data scientists and AI practitioners, fostering a collaborative environment that drives innovation and delivers impactful solutions

 

Qualifications:

  • Competence working with and transforming relational databases in SQL or similar query-language and Power Query or similar GUI-based query tool

  • Experience managing various aspects of a data pipeline including data validation, data management, data analysis and data visualization

  • Advanced understanding of ETL best practices, and how to articulate them to both data analysts and developers

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with 3-5+ years' practical experience

  • Experience building and deploying AI models, with demonstrated proficiency leveraging large language models including Claude to solve complex business problems

  • Quantitative and computational statistics aimed at process optimization

  • Strong understanding of Predictive Analytics and ML/AI development

  • Experience with cloud architecture and complex data structures

  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and performance tuning

  • Proficient in Microsoft Power BI

  • Networking skills including; authentication, using data connectors, and cloud storage

  • Ability to interface with various stakeholders

  • Great client-facing personal skills and communication

  • Demonstrate forward-looking, strategic thinking ability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience using PowerBI

  • Machine Learning/AI Experience

  • BS degree in Data Analytics, Math, Statistics, or related field

  • Proficient in SQL; R or Python

  • Experience in gathering and building requirements for analytics and project management

  • Strong understanding of Product Development and Process Optimization

  • Strong understanding of analytical and forecasting models, like Regression modeling, Cluster Analysis, Time Series and Forecasting

  • Ability to identify and surface critical business and product analytics metrics, translating data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels
