Here’s what you need to know about this position:

THE WORK

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable Ruby on Rails applications

• Take full ownership of the product lifecycle, from architecture to production

• Mentor junior developers and enforce high coding standards across the team

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to troubleshoot, define, and execute new features

• Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability, security, and performance

• Write and advocate for well-tested, maintainable, and clean code

• Take the lead in troubleshooting production issues and optimizing development environments

NEEDED EXPERTISE

• 5+ years of engineering experience, with advanced Ruby on Rails expertise.

• In-depth experience with React.js or Ember.js, and front-end integration.

• Extensive experience designing and deploying large-scale, production-grade applications.

• Proven leadership in mentoring teams and guiding engineering best practices.

• Strong focus on Test-Driven Development (TDD) and clean code principles.

• Proficiency with Docker, MySQL, Postgres, Redis, NGINX, and AWS.

• If you have some experience with Linux, managing infrastructure with tools like Terraform or Ansible, and an understanding of compliance standards like PCI and HIPAA, that's definitely a nice-to-have.
