Eneco is looking for a Regulatory & Public Affairs Counsel to help navigate the regulatory landscape around battery storage, flexibility markets, and energy trading.

This role sits within the Flex team and focuses specifically on Eneco’s growing battery portfolio. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will monitor and assess regulatory developments, translate complex legislation into clear business implications, and advise on the opportunities and risks they create for battery projects, flexibility activities and trading strategies.

What you bring:

• Master's degree, preferably in a legal, political & social science, or technical science field.

• Relevant experience within the energy sector or a similar regulated environment.

• A strong interest in energy policy and understanding how decision-making works within the regulatory landscape.

• Knowledge of technical and operational themes within the energy sector, including flexibility, reactive power, redispatch, and CRM-related market processes.

• You combine analytical sharpness with the ability to translate complex subject matter clearly.

• You are a strong communicator and move smoothly between stakeholders at different levels.

• You know how to defend interests in a constructive and convincing manner.

• You are proactive, pragmatic, and maintain an overview of complex files.

• You have an excellent command of Dutch, English, and French.
