The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Kula's products. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing manual and automated tests to validate our software applications. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Skills & Qualification

• 2-5 years of experience in software testing

• Strong understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, Typescript, Ruby on Rails, Java, Python,etc.,

• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute automated tests to validate software applications, using tools like Selenium or Playwright

• Identify and prioritize areas for improvement in software applications, and develop strategies for addressing these issues

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure that software applications meet quality and reliability standards

  • Analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions to resolve testing and quality-related problems

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks, scripts, and documentation to ensure efficient and effective testing

• Communicate testing results and recommendations to stakeholders, including engineering and product management teams

• Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, including mentoring and coaching to ensure their success and growth

• Staying up-to-date with the latest testing technologies and methodologies, and adapting to new tools and processes as needed
