Senior Product Manager, Engagement

Job type: Full Time · Department: Product · Work type: On-Site · USD 130000 - 175000 / year

United States

The Company:

Ilant Health is a value-based healthcare provider focused on cardiometabolic obesity, a group of interconnected conditions that drive over $700 billion in annual U.S. healthcare expenses. We are dedicated to increasing access to treatment while reducing the total cost of care for employers and payers. We are not just a provider, we are a technology-enabled practice driven by analytics. Our mission is to "de-average" care, using proprietary algorithms to match Members with the right interventions at the right time, while establishing habits that support treatment success and sustained outcomes. By combining clinical rigor with a consumer-grade digital experience, we drive life-changing outcomes and measurable ROI.

We serve as the single, integrated front door for comprehensive care, delivering a full continuum of evidence-based solutions, spanning bariatric surgery, pharmacotherapy, and intensive behavioral therapy. Crucially, we personalize care for every Member through a dedicated multidisciplinary care team, empowered by our advanced digital platform. This ecosystem includes specialized tools for our providers and a fully accessible Member Portal (web and mobile) for our Members.

The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our Engagement vertical.

In this role, you will own the digital heartbeat of the Ilant program. You will be responsible for transforming our Member experience from a "medical necessity" into a daily habit. You will define and execute the product strategy that keeps Members active, motivated, and adherent to their personalized care plans, whether that’s tracking medication, engaging with content, or communicating with their dedicated multidisciplinary Care Team.

You will sit at the intersection of behavioral science, clinical outcomes, and consumer tech, building features that don't just drive clicks, but drive health improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Vision

    • Define the "Engagement Loop": Develop a cohesive product strategy for increasing Daily Active Users (DAU) and program adherence. Move Members from passive enrollment to active, daily participation.

    • Digital-First Adherence: Build features that support clinical adherence (e.g., medication logging, weight tracking, appointment attendance) through friction-reducing design and positive reinforcement.

    • Gamification & Behavioral Economics: Apply behavioral science principles (nudges, streaks, rewards) to encourage healthy habit formation without trivializing the clinical journey.

  • Execution and Delivery

    • Roadmap Ownership: Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Member-facing app/portal. Prioritize the backlog based on business value (retention) and clinical impact.

    • Feature Development: Lead the discovery and delivery of key engagement features, such as smart notifications, interactive educational content, and automated "check-ins" that scale our multidisciplinary care team model.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Clinical Operations, Engineering, and Design to ensure digital engagement features align with clinical protocols and safety standards.

  • Data and Optimization

    • Metric Obsession: Own the "Engagement" KPI set, including retention rates (1/3/6/12 month), session frequency, and feature adoption.

    • Experimentation: Run A/B tests on messaging, notification timing, and content formats to optimize the Member journey.

    • Outcome Correlation: Work with the Analytics team to prove the hypothesis: Does increased digital engagement lead to improved outcomes across the full spectrum of cardiometabolic diseases? Use this data to refine the product.

Qualifications:

  • Experience

    •  5+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years focused on consumer engagement, mobile apps, or digital health.

  • Behavioral Mindset:

    •  You understand why people stick to programs (and why they churn). You have experience building products that change behavior (e.g., fitness, diet, habit-tracking, or education apps).

  • Analytical Rigor:

    • You are data-fluent and comfortable leveraging analytics platforms to derive actionable insights, identify friction points in the user journey, and uncover opportunities for growth.

  • Relentless Execution:

    •  You have a bias for action and are willing to go the extra mile to unblock teams and deliver value. You don't just point out problems; you roll up your sleeves to solve them, ensuring we execute with speed and quality.

  • Empathy:

    • You understand that cardiometabolic obesity management is a sensitive, complex journey. You build with compassion, ensuring our digital touch points feel supportive, human, and dignified, never judgmental or transactional.

  • Healthcare Context (Preferred, but not needed):

    •  Experience in digital health, specifically chronic condition management, metabolic health, or behavior change platforms is a strong plus.

Benefits and Perks:

We believe great work happens when people are supported, trusted, and given the flexibility to thrive. Here’s what you can expect when you join our team:

  • Fully remote environment – work from anywhere while maintaining meaningful collaboration with a distributed team

  • Comprehensive health benefits – medical, dental, and vision coverage to support you and your family
