Role Overview:

Intramotev is seeking a motivated CAD Administrator to join the mechanical engineering team to support growing demands in the development of self-propelled rail vehicles. This role is pivotal in establishing the technical foundation of our self-propelled rail vehicle fleet by taking full ownership of our product structure, release flow, and data integrity. You will serve as the primary authority for our Autodesk design ecosystem, ensuring that our complex mechanical architectures are managed with precision from concept through to production. This position is based out of St. Louis, MO. This is a full-time, 100% in-office position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Architecture: Oversee and maintain the master product structure and bill of materials (BOM) within Autodesk Inventor and Vault to ensure architectural integrity.

  • Release Management: Define and manage the formal engineering release flow, ensuring all mechanical designs meet company standards before transitioning to production.

  • Data Integrity: Take full ownership of the CAD database, implementing robust version control, naming conventions, and data archival processes.

  • System Administration: Manage the configuration, deployment, and optimization of Autodesk Inventor and Vault Professional for the mechanical engineering team.

  • Standardization: Develop and maintain company-wide CAD standards, templates, and libraries to streamline the design process.

  • Lifecycle Support: Provide technical support to the engineering team regarding CAD/PDM tools and resolve complex modeling or database issues.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure CAD data and BOMs are accurately reflected in our Odoo ERP system.

  • Innovation: Stay abreast of technological advancements in PLM/PDM and recommend technology investments to enhance internal operations.

  • Travel: Support integration and customer engagement through occasional domestic travel (<10%).

About You:

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.

  • 3+ years of experience as a CAD Administrator specifically with Autodesk products (Inventor, Vault Professional).

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex product structures and formal engineering change/release processes.

  • Willingness to expand into technical areas beyond your area of expertise; ability to develop innovative and novel approaches.

  • Open-minded and comfortable working in a teaming environment as a technical leader.

  • Fluent in both written and verbal English.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)). Immigration or work visa sponsorship will not be provided.

Preferred Qualifications — Industry Experience:

  • Experience in the Rail, Electric Vehicle (EV), or Unmanned Systems industries.

  • Demonstrated experience working across organizational boundaries and collaborating with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications — Technical Skills:

  • Experience integrating CAD/PDM data with ERP systems (specifically Odoo).

  • Knowledge of GD&T and design for high-volume manufacturing processes.

  • Experience working in Agile environments for hardware and software development.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. Candidate must reside in St. Louis area or relocate at own expense.
