Senior Product Designer - UI/UX (App & Growth) (all genders)

Job type: Full Time · Department: Product · Work type: Hybrid

Vienna, Vienna, Austria

We love the magic of memory keeping

At Journi, we’re on a mission to build the world’s most-downloaded printing app.

With over 10 million users worldwide, we help people turn their favorite moments into beautifully designed Photo Books and Prints. Our smart AI makes the process fast, simple, and joyful, so our users can spend less time editing and more time reliving their best stories.

As a Senior Product Designer, you're part of two teams. In our Growth Squad, you'll partner with Product Management (PM) and Engineering to delight users and move metrics. Your domain spans from first visit to post-purchase (excluding editor & tools). You'll also join our Experience Design team. There, you'll work with other designers, researchers, and analysts to shape our practice.

If you’re excited to tackle meaningful challenges and create delightful experiences, we’d love to hear more! Please include your CV, portfolio, and cover letter with your application. Applications without a portfolio will be rejected.

🚀 What you'll do

  • Collaborate for real impact. Understand users and business needs to design elegant solutions that move the needle. Balance team work with deep focus time

  • Design and prototype for App and Web. Own the design of our shop, checkout, landing pages, and more. Move between quick experiments and detailed user flows as needed

  • Run end-to-end research. Frame clear hypotheses and research questions to validate your work. Then dive into the data to inform your design choices and share insights with others

  • Drive user-centered thinking. Keep teams focused on solving customer problems in meetings and workshops

  • Help evolve our design system while staying true to our brand guidelines

🎒 Your bag of tricks

  • 5+ years designing mobile apps and websites. Show us a portfolio with work that moved metrics and explored new directions. You have worked in teams that iterate based on user research and data

  • Strong UX fundamentals. You're skilled at interaction design, visual design, prototyping, and user research

  • Solid understanding of information architecture and service design. If this is an area where you shine, even better

  • Mixed Method Approach. You pick a method based on clear research goals, not because it's the only one you know. You use qualitative and quantitative insights to unlock more impact

  • Strong Communication & Presentation Skills. You communicate with clarity and confidence. Your excellent English helps you to present design work, lead workshops, and explain your decisions

  • You mentor through your work. You share context behind decisions and involve others in your process. You make your thinking visible so the team learns and grows

  • You have the right to work in the EU/Austria and are based in Vienna or open to relocating
