To continue driving our strong growth and strategic goals, we are looking for an experienced and dedicated maternity leave cover for our current CFO (for approx. 14-18 months to ensure a smooth handover, starting in July/August).

One Role, Two Paths: Depending on your seniority and prior experience, you will join us either as our Interim CFO (taking a seat at the C-Level table to drive company-wide strategy) or as our Interim Head of Finance (focusing on leading our finance department and operations). In both capacities, you will be the command center for our financial operations, internationalization, and payment processes.

🚀 What you'll do

• Team Leadership (Both Levels): You will lead our highly skilled, 5-person Finance Team consisting of an Accounting Lead, two Accounting Juniors, a Financial Controller, and a PSP Manager.

• Financial Reporting & Budgeting (Both Levels): You hold the ultimate ownership of the company-wide financial reporting and budgeting process. Even if not directly presenting to investors in board meetings (on the Head of Finance level), you are the driving force behind tracking and executing our financial goals.

• Driving Internationalization (Both Levels): You will be the main driving force for our market expansions, orchestrating the financial, tax, legal, and PSP setups for new international markets.

• Operations & Tech (Both Levels): You are the ultimate owner of our Finance Operations, Payment Service Providers (PSP), payment options, and our logistic solutions (Carrier Management).

• Accounting Oversight (Both Levels): While our Accounting Lead handles day-to-day operations and tax returns, you retain ultimate ownership and responsibility for all Accounting and Tax topics.

• C-Level Sparring & Board Relations (CFO Level only): If joining as CFO, you will hold ultimate ownership of board-level financial reporting and advise the CEO on cross-functional business growth, multi-year strategies, and potential M&A opportunities as well as taking over other c-level topics.

🎒 Your bag of tricks

• Min. 6-8 years of experience for the CFO track, OR 4-6 years for the Head of Finance track (with minimum 2 years of leadership experience), within a dynamic scale-up, e-commerce, or tech environment.

• Strong leadership experience and a passion for managing and mentoring specialized teams.

• Deep understanding of financial modeling and budgeting.

• Proven track record in driving Internationalization projects, managing the complex triad of PSP, tax, and legal requirements.

• Experience managing Payment Service Providers (PSP) and logistics/supply chain setups.

• An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to assess the financial impact of business decisions.

• Fluent communication skills in English.

• Valid work permit for the EU.

🔥 Nice-to-haves

• While not required, German communication skills are a strong advantage.

• Background in Big 4 (Deloitte, PWC, KPMG, EY) or top-tier consulting.

• Prior experience managing interim roles or acting as a maternity leave cover.
