Whether you built your career at a PR agency, worked closely alongside one as a brand-side communications lead, or spent years in the orbit of PR firms as a media, content, or marketing professional, you understand how earned media works, how agencies think, and how hard it is to prove ROI on traditional PR. Now you want to be on the side that finally solves that problem and use that credibility to open doors that a traditional salesperson never could.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Linkby sits at the intersection of PR and performance marketing and we need someone who speaks PR fluently and has a genuine interest in learning the performance side.

Part of what makes this role exciting is what you will be selling. AI is fundamentally changing how consumers discover brands, and Linkby is not catching up to that shift. We are leading it. You will be working with advertisers at the forefront of AI Visibility / Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), helping them understand and act on a category that most of the market is still figuring out.

You will use your PR background and industry relationships to build partnerships with communications agencies, PR firms, and the brand marketing teams that work alongside them across the LA market. This is a full-cycle role. You will prospect, close, onboard, and own.

Remote role with occasional WeWork days and team outings. Must be based in the Los Angeles area. Regular in-person availability for client meetings, events, and networking across the LA market is required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Identify and develop partnerships with PR agencies, communications firms, and brand marketing teams across the LA market

- Use your PR background and industry fluency to translate Linkby's value proposition in a way that resonates with earned media professionals

- Educate prospects on how performance-based publisher content complements and enhances traditional PR strategies

- Prospect, pitch, and close new agency and brand partners

- Own ongoing account relationships including campaign performance, retention, and upsell

- Attend PR industry events, agency networking functions, and brand marketing conferences across Los Angeles

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 3+ years working at or directly alongside a PR agency or communications firm in a media relations, account management, client-facing, or brand-side capacity; deep familiarity with the earned media world is essential

- Strong understanding of the PR agency model: pitching, media lists, editorial placements, brand storytelling, and campaign measurement

- A genuine interest in learning performance marketing and excitement about where PR and performance intersect

- Full-cycle experience: comfortable both winning new business and owning accounts post-close

- Existing relationships within the LA PR agency or brand communications community is a strong advantage

- Self-starter mentality with the ability to own your pipeline and accounts remotely

- Familiarity with affiliate marketing, native content, or digital advertising is a plus; we will train the right person

- CRM experience is a plus but not required

- Must be based in Los Angeles and available for regular in-person market engagement

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

- $85,000-$100,000 base salary, based on experience

- Quarterly variable compensation tied to KPIs, plus uncapped commission for top performers
