As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, validation, and production readiness of LionsBot’s electrical systems. You will own wiring harnesses, power distribution boards, battery and charger designs, and compliance testing. This is a hands-on role where you will take designs from concept through prototyping to production, ensuring high reliability in the field and manufacturability on the line.
Electrical System Design – Specify and design PDBs, wiring, and connectors, ensuring proper fusing, grounding, EMI shielding, and surge protection.
Battery & Charger Validation – Validate designs against CE, UL, FCC, IEC 62133, and UN 38.3 standards.
Wiring Harness Reliability – Develop harnesses with robust routing, shielding, and strain relief to eliminate field failures.
Documentation & Schematics – Create and maintain version-controlled wiring diagrams, harness layouts, and component specs.
Manufacturability & Field Support – Work closely with production and supply chain to ensure electrical designs are serviceable and manufacturable. Troubleshoot electrical issues in the lab, factory, and field.
Compliance & Testing – Contribute to CE, UL, FCC, and EMC compliance testing and ensure designs pass with minimal redesign.
Component Selection & Cost Efficiency – Select components balancing performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness. Support procurement with alternatives and cost-reduction opportunities.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
4–6 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience in robotics, EV, industrial equipment, or consumer hardware.
Proven track record of taking electrical designs from concept to production.
Strong knowledge of power electronics, battery systems, PDBs, wiring harness design, and connector reliability.
Proficiency with schematic capture and harness design tools (e.g., E3.series, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical).
Hands-on debugging skills with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and CAN/serial analyzers.
Familiarity with compliance and safety standards (CE, UL, FCC, EMC, IEC 62133, UN 38.3).
Excellent documentation habits and process discipline.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with mechanical, firmware, and production teams.
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
Experience in robotics, automotive, EV, or mechatronics industries.
