Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

LionsBot builds autonomous cleaning robots deployed in airports, hospitals, malls, and public spaces globally. As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will own the wire harness design, battery and charger system electrical specification, and EMI/EMC compliance for our robot platforms — from first design through to certified, field-deployed products. You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with mechanical, firmware, and production teams to deliver electrical systems that are safe, reliable, and manufacturable at scale. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with end-to-end ownership and direct impact on product quality, compliance, and field performance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design and validate wire harness and interconnect solutions for new robot platforms — covering routing, connector selection, shielding, strain relief, and protection elements in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620.

• Specify wiring, connectors, and protection circuits for battery and charger systems — sized for continuous and peak current, validated under fault conditions, and certified to IEC 62133 and UN 38.3.

• Own EMI/EMC design strategy — apply grounding, shielding, and cable routing separation as design inputs, conduct pre-compliance testing in-house, and drive products through CE/FCC certification.

• Conduct FMEA on critical electrical systems and verify all mitigations by test before DVT sign-off.

• Define and execute electrical test plans covering functional verification, hi-pot, insulation resistance, environmental stress, and production acceptance testing.

• Ensure 100% of production harnesses are functionally tested before integration into robots — zero untested assemblies in field builds.

• Drive compliance with CE, UL, IEC 60335, ISO 13849, and other applicable standards — translate requirements into design checklists before schematic review.

• Deliver harness assembly guides, wiring diagrams, and production test instructions clear enough for manufacturing to execute without engineering support.

• Reduce wire harness BOM cost by >=5% per product iteration through design standardisation, alternate sourcing, and component lifecycle management.

• Maintain version-controlled electrical documentation — schematics, pin assignments, BOMs, assembly guides, and ECNs — for all active product lines.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

• 5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience — you have personally designed, validated, and released wire harnesses and electrical systems for a physical product.

• Deep wire harness design expertise — connector selection, routing, shielding, current rating analysis, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 compliance.

• Battery and charger system experience — BMS wiring, protection circuit specification, and compliance with IEC 62133 and UN 38.3.

• EMI/EMC design ownership — grounding and shielding strategies, pre-compliance testing, and experience taking products through CE or FCC certification.

• Fluent in relevant standards: CE, UL, IEC 60335, IEC 62133, ISO 13849, UN 38.3.

• Proficiency in electrical CAD tools — E3.series, SOLIDWORKS Electrical, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent.

• Strong documentation discipline — version-controlled schematics, BOMs, assembly instructions, and ECNs always complete and on time.

• Experience in robotics, automotive, medical devices, consumer electronics, or industrial equipment.

• Good to have: IEC 60730 Class B or ISO 13849 functional safety experience; experience qualifying Chinese electrical component suppliers.

Why Join LionsBot

• Own electrical systems end-to-end — from design and certification through to field-deployed robots operating in real environments.

• Work on a diverse range of products across multiple voltage domains, battery chemistries, and global certification markets.

• Collaborate with a sharp cross-functional team across mechanical, firmware, autonomy, and production — all under one roof in Singapore.

• See your designs operating in airports, hospitals, and public spaces around the world.

• Join a high-growth robotics company with a strong engineering culture and a track record of shipping complex products at pace.
