We're a growth-stage company with a strong and expanding customer base, growing quickly and backed by institutional investors.

About Job

Most people think indoor maps are for finding the nearest restroom. Our customers find out otherwise about twenty minutes into a conversation with a good Sales Engineer.

An airport operations director watches a people mover go down and sees, live, which gates just became unreachable and who needs to be rerouted. A security lead runs an incident response on a floor plan instead of a radio call. A mall's leasing team finds out which corridors actually convert. An accessibility team discovers that “step-free route” means something different on every floor of their building, and that nobody's data model has ever been asked the question.

That's the same map, doing four different jobs. The gap between “indoor wayfinding vendor” and “the spatial layer this building runs on” gets closed by a person who can show it, not describe it.

That's this job. Our customers show up with problems that don't have an answer yet: no spec, no reference implementation, sometimes no clear owner on their side. You'll use our SDK and app builders to put something working in front of them in days, not quarters. And the best version of this job doesn't stop at what they asked for: you see the two adjacent problems the same map could solve, and you show them those too. That's how a wayfinding deal turns into an operations deal.

What You'll Do

  • Build demos, prototypes, and proofs of concept on Mappedin's SDK and app builders — real working artifacts, tailored to a specific customer's problem, not a slide about one

    •     Tell the story that makes a visual product land: what this building could know, what it could do, and what that's worth to the person in the room

    •     Run technical discovery alongside sellers — get past the stated ask to the operational problem underneath

    •     Carry a room with four different stakeholders in it — operations, security, IT, guest experience — each with different priorities and different budgets

    •     Own the technical artifacts that move complex deals: scoping documents and SOWs, RFP responses, security questionnaires

    •     Pull partner technologies into a solution — indoor positioning, asset tracking, digital signage — so value shows up on day one, not after a six-month integration

    •     Feed the field back into the product: the patterns you spot across deals shape what gets built into the platform, and you'll be heard when you raise them

    •     Travel to be in the room when it matters

What We're Looking For

•     You build things. You've shipped demos, prototypes, internal tools, side projects — something. You use AI tooling to go faster, and you have opinions about it.

•     You can hold a room. You explain complex, technical, visual ideas to people who don't share your context, and you make them curious instead of overwhelmed.

•     You've worked complex enterprise deals. Long cycles, multiple stakeholders, formal procurement, real budget pressure. You know how to prove value to someone who has to justify it upward.

•     You're technically credible under pressure. APIs, SDKs, integrations, platform architecture — deep enough that an engineer trusts you, clear enough that a CFO follows you.

•     You've written the hard documents. Scoping docs, SOWs, RFP responses — the unglamorous artifacts that actually move deals.

•     8+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Developer Relations, technical consulting, or an adjacent role where you were the person who built the thing that won the deal.

•     Nice to have: mapping, geospatial, IoT, proptech, digital signage, or developer platforms. Experience in complex or regulated environments — airports, healthcare, public safety, government — is a strong plus.

•     Location and travel: US-based, Pacific time zone preferred. Willing to travel 10–20%.
