About Job

We are seeking a technically curious and customer-focused Senior Sales Engineer to join Mappedin. In this role, you will support our sales team in navigating complex and high-impact pre-sales engagements. The ideal candidate will partner closely with sales team members, working to understand prospective customers’ requirements and design technical solutions that effectively address real-world problems using Mappedin’s platform.

As a trusted technical advisor, you will be involved in all stages of the sales process, from discovery to solution design. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive at the intersection of technology and business outcomes, providing invaluable insights that drive customer success and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand prospective customers' technical requirements and align them with Mappedin’s solutions

  • Design and articulate technical solutions that address specific customer needs, showcasing the value and impact of Mappedin’s platform

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process, ensuring a seamless transition from discovery to solution implementation

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and satisfaction

  • Provide in-depth technical demonstrations, presentations, and SOWs, effectively communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences

  • Engage with enterprise customers during the B2B SaaS sales cycle, supporting the sales team in advancing deals through to closure

  • Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and competitive landscape to provide informed guidance and insights

  • Travel as necessary to support on-site meetings, demonstrations, and customer relationship-building activities

Skills & Qualification

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Engineering or Solutions Engineering

  • A track record of building trusted relationships with both technical and non-technical buyers, fostering long-term partnerships

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner, ensuring understanding across diverse audiences

  • Experience with B2B SaaS sales cycles, particularly with enterprise customers, enhancing sales strategies and execution

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the capability to effectively navigate ambiguity during live conversations

  • Sufficient technical depth to speak credibly about APIs, integrations, and platform architecture, understanding how systems connect

  • Possession of a collaborative, curious, and customer-focused mindset, driving team success and innovation

  • Experience with mapping, geospatial data, IoT, prop tech, or developer platforms is a plus, offering additional insights and capabilities

  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, supporting sales efforts and customer engagements in various locations
