Revenue Operations Manager
Full Time · Remote, Toronto · Revenue Operations
Motion is growing fast (3x YoY), our product is sticky and we recently raised $30M in Series B funding. We've doubled our headcount this year and have just over 50 team members.
But we’re just getting started and we need your help!
We’ve built a new category of software to bridge the gap between performance marketers and creative teams. Our platform combines creative analytics, research, and strategy. Motion is the command center for Creative Strategists.
Our customers are top ecom and DTC brands like Vuori, True Classic, The Farmer’s Dog, HexClad, and thousands more. They’ve used Motion to analyze over $6B in media spend.
At Motion, Revenue Operations is an insights and enablement team that helps the entire organization reach our growth goals. As a part of this founding team, you’ll work cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product as a key contributor in all things automation, data, tooling, and process. You’ll bring your deep understanding of GTM best practices and broad organizational context to every project as a trusted advisor and business partner.
We are a rapidly growing company with big goals and Rev Ops helps the entire Motion team strike the balance between agility and scalability.
At a high level, we:
Collect the data we need, in the form we need it in
Anticipate the process and automation needs of growing teams and help execute campaigns
Deliver dashboards, deep-dive analysis, briefs and recommendations
Do research and provide enablement about our customers, competitors, and target market
To be successful, you’ll have a strong technical background in multiple tools of the trade and demonstrate deep critical thinking and business acumen. You probably have strong opinions about the modern revenue tech stack. Most people would describe you as a generalist.
The Revenue Operations Manager works cross-functionally with Motion’s go-to-market teams and owns the data, tooling, and processes for all things Sales, Marketing, and CS. This role is primarily responsible for helping accelerate revenue growth and improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Own and maintain the CRM as a reliable system of record for lead gen, content engagement, campaign performance, pipeline, and sales
Build and maintain enrichment, scoring, routing and automation workflows
Enable the end-to-end Sales and CS processes and optimize the CRM for clarity and ease of use
Performance reporting across the entire customer lifecycle, from awareness to retention
Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the acquisition and customer lifecycle
Create dashboards and reports in Hubspot and Looker
Manage sales operations and provide line-of-sight on pipeline forecast, velocity, and quota planning
Manage integrations and syncs across first-party and third-party data sources
Day-to-day support of launches, campaigns, events, and other initiatives
While the scope of this role is the full customer lifecycle, the workload does skew more towards the marketing and pipeline side of the house, so a solid background in B2B SaaS lead lifecycle management as well as attribution, automation, pipeline qualification, email nurture, and prospecting is recommended.
Hubspot Sales and Marketing Hubs are our main workspace and source of truth, with additional tools like Apollo, Intercom, Mixpanel, Zapier, and Google Analytics. You are particularly good at creating and maintaining complex workflows - including wrangling third-party APIs - and are proficient at building custom cross-object reports.
4+ years in Rev Ops, Marketing Ops, or equivalent experience. B2B SaaS startup experience preferred
4+ years CRM admin (Hubspot or Salesforce) and marketing automation experience
Strong analytical skills with experience in performance analysis. Proficient with Excel and/or SQL and comfortable manipulating raw data for analysis
Experience working with APIs, SDKs, Clay, Google Tag Manager and/or Segment. You know how to get the data you need from point A to point B
Experience with customer lifecycle mapping and documentation
Excellent project management skills. Experience leading a project from scratch, from requirements gathering through to scoping, build and rollout
Experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders, creating alignment and getting buy-in
Exceptional communicator. You can thrive in a high-context, remote work environment
Super competitive compensation, equity, 20 days PTO, full healthcare benefits, work from home stipend
Fully remote team with incredible offsites and retreats to build camaraderie. Our last retreat was a week-long stay at Lake Muskoka.
We’ve found product market fit but we’re still so early that you will have a major impact.
Our team is very ambitious, super capable and low on egos
Our customers are some of the leading brands and agencies in D2C e-commerce
We want Motion’s impact in the “creative-tech” industry to be up there with the Webflows, Canvas and Figmas of the world.
We have a deep understanding of the problem space through many years of tinkering in the industry.
We know exactly what it’s going to take for Motion to win.
We’d love for you to join us on the ride!
Motion has thrived in 2023, and 2024 has been a defining year here. We are finishing the year with fresh funding and exceptional signals from our clients.
